I think you're too easily embarrassed. No one got injured. There are new signings to fit into the team - and one of them got a goal with his first touch. The first choice team looked OK under the circumstances. If there was any cause to worry it would be around the big, big gap in quality between first and second choice players. I thought it was a fairly relaxing and enjoyable evening out.

It was embarrassing, that's what I said and what the threads titled.

I am sure Sir Alex thinks that the reults and performances Man Utd have got pre-season are actually positive.

Winning and performing well is always better than losing and playing badly - whetever the game.

Trust me I was there and after our fans sang "easy easy" after DJ scored and it went downhill it was very embarrassing. Losing to Bolton will do more damage but wont be embarrassing as it's very plausible that an established prem team could beat, or even thump, a new prem team

It's wasn't embarrassing it was very embarrassing and some of the players on the pitch proved to me last night that they will struggle all season

The most important thing was that no-one is injured -- exactly what NW said in his pot-match interview.
Compare that to Bolton who have lost two players to broken legs in the past week, one in a friendly and the other in training -- they now need a very quick rethink before next Saturday.
Our players won't be bothered about the result, just in the run-out and making sure they didn't get injured.

Wasn't embarrassing at all. I hope at least that the ones saying it was embarrassing were absolutely over the moon with our 45min win against braga? Surely? ****s

In a friendly of this type I would take a 3-1 win over a 1-3 loss; but getting through it injury-free is the best result possible ultimately.
Now bring on the real test on Saturday and don't be looking for excuses to be glum.

I was delighted with Braga and commented on it at the time.

Those not embarrassed by that second half, the **** their fans and announcer gave us perhaps don't have feelings at all or feel they have to come on here and always be ultra positive but then go and beat the mrs after or something....

Read my post "Hypothetical positive question", you'll see I'm fairly balanced and quite positive but sorry to harp on last nights game was bad!

Role on Bolton and let's hope for better!

                            Come on you R's!

Weren't you the poster who threw his toys out of the pram at me a few weeks ago for stating that our squad wasn't good enough to survive in the Premiership without major additions...?

Yes it was me but if you read everything i have written you will find I said yesterdays performance was embarrassing and that our second half team, ie our reserves are poor.
