Would love it to be true but it just doesn't add up!
    Good point.

Because he'd have to agree to drop in his present wages before the clubs would agree on the terms of the loan deal

      ie> 110k a week to say 90k we agree to pay 2/3rds at 60k

(just an example before some window licker on here says we will never pay 60k)

Never heard of that one before, but that's not to say it isn't true.

Could explain the personal terms bit.

His drop in wage would have to be his agreement with Liverpool because that's who he is contracted to...at least that's my theory any way.

Just wondered if he ever really settled up north which may explain his form decline. Maybe a move back to London is just what he wants.
            no-one knows then I guess?

He is only a year into a 4 yr contract, 20 appearances, 3 goals, and on £5.7 million p.a. plus endorsements and benefits. Seems an amazing package. Unless he takes a massive wage cut to go out on loan, he'll spend a lot of time on the Liverpool bench, and he strikes me as someone who wants to play regularly.

I'm guessing he wants a move back to London, and may be prepared to take a big cut to do it.

                      An amusing thought,
but as an east end London Lad made good I would imagine he would probably use a private jet or chopper once a week. Wouldn't mix with riff-raff on public transport. Thats if he has kept his roots down here.

IIRC Tevez commutes a little further every week. :=B:

I would imagine he uses his chopper more than once a week.

Are you being serious? We're all meant to be football fans and therefore know how football works. A Player, unless he completely renegotiaties his contract, usually leading to an extenstion of it, can not take a pay cut from his current employer (liverpool). Liverpool though can agree to subsidise some of or all of his wages if he was to move on loan but the notion that he will drop to 90k from 110k and then liverpool pay a third is absurd. The player will not willingly take a paycut for a contract of the same length and nor will Liverpool extend his contract and pay him silly amounts of money for a player who doesn't even make their sub bench (hence why shafting him out on loan).

And you know what Joe cole would and wouldnt do how? If it meant dropping down to a "measley" 90k a week in order for him to get some PL playing time I'm pretty sure he might consider this offer

He is still under contract at Liverpool and therefore a paycut wouldn't put him at a new club to make this a possibility. and be honest, QPR nor anyone else has said, look we like Joe Cole but to do this, you have to completely renegotiate his contract, get him on lower wages, and then we'll pay only a percentage of that, just for a loan deal. What do liverpool get out of that? And don't say saving 30k a week because that's not really much incentive.
