yeh heard he did alright, missed a couple of chances too. Still though, League2 opposition. but, credit to Cookie, he did well by the sounds of it.

A good evening in Crawley, lots of R's there.
Crawley look a decent side who should do well in Div2.

          Sadly not:

"There will be no reprieve for Lee Cook at QPR despite his impressive performance against Crawley."

            Just back.

Cookie was amazing. How NW don't pick him is beyond me. We played well as a team.

            No Bothroyd or Dyer either.

No our physios do our job. Rumour is the west ham physios are reknowned in the industry as living in a fantasy world and homeopathic bullsh*t. Explains a fair amount.

Just saw goals on SSN. Defending looked poor on both conceded - defence really worries me for this season

I went last night and thought, overall, played really well. Obviously opposition isnt as strong as what were going to be up against this year, but we knocked the ball around really well playing some lovely football at times.

First half I thought Smith was quality, Faurlin was his usual self, Buzz had a brilliant game and looked really sharp. Although obviously not going to be pushing Kenny out, I think that Murphy looks a superb keeper. Gorkss looked solid IMO. The lad Bruno didnt have too much too do although he had a couple of wild clearences go into the stands! Orr looked good defensively but going forward seemed to be too happy to lump a long ball forward too often.

Although he gets a lot of flack on here, I thought Connolly played well, linked well with Higan a few times going forward (although I, personally, am not a huge Hogan fan, far too lightweight and forgot he was on the pitch at times).

Helguson had a superb game, the way he gets his body in front of the defender everytime the ball is played forward really does deserve more credit, the amount of free-kicks he wins is unreal, reminds me of a poor mans Kevin Davies abit!

Cooky played quite well but for me he wont cut it in the PL. A few times he went to rn at their RB and didnt quite show that killer instinct he used to and he would be in 2 minds as to whether to go past him or not and would stop, turn and play a 2 yard ball back to Connolly. But he did keep the ball well and his goal was a beaut! Dont get me wrong I love Cooky and what hes done for this club will never be forgotton (his 250k signing on fee donation in particular, what a man!) but i cant really see him doing much in the PL.

Hewitt and the young lad Doherty came on for 20mins at the end and for, both looked really good. Especially Doherty. Obviouly cant tell too much fro 20mins against League 2 oppo, but he looked a real class act and very comfortable on the ball around their penalty area.

All in all pretty positive, although I do feel we are in urgent need of a fullback!

                      Roll on next saturday

Rumours lost all truth on its rounds around the grape vine.... It was simply a missunderstanding involving the number of cheese slices given in the "double bacon and cheese burger" which resulted in me (ever so slowly) climbing over the counter to show the girl what I meant. The security took this completley the wrong way and threw a right hissy fit, calling me all sorts of names and telling me to do my flies up and put it away.....

And don't forget they beat Chelsea 6-1 only a few weeks back, no matter who was in the **** side they will remember that result for a long time, especially on talking to a **** fan.
