Queens Park Rangers have failed with a move for Manchester City's Nedum Onuoha, skysports.com understands.
The 24-year-old was left out of City's pre-season tour to America and was not included in their squad for the recent Dublin Super Cup.
But Onuoha is determined to prove himself at City - the club where he has spent his entire career.
A number of clubs are known to be keen on landing Onuoha, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland.
QPR were looking at a possible loan, but their enquiry was rebuffed last month by the player as Onuoha feels he still has a future at City and is looking stay put.
Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
The bloke is far too smart to join CircusQPR. He's got 3 grade A, A-levels. Might as well sit in the stands, pick up his huge pay and not risk injury.
If he was intelligent then surely he would rather go out on loan and proove himself to Mancini rather than sit in the stands scratching his jacobs? Any smart player knows that rotting away in reserves isnt going to help your career.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
