  • Crawley Town Tonight

Long trip this for me all of 200 yards!

    Some information for those going.

Tickets – Available on the day right up to kick-off.
    Adult terrace £14.00 Child under 18 £5.00
    Adult Seat £17.00 Child under 18 £8.00

By Car – exit M23 at junction 11. Take right hand exit on to A23 and ground is on the left at the next roundabout.

Parking – Best bet is in the residential areas surrounding the stadium as the official car park gets busy and can be slow in getting out.

Train – You can walk it from Crawley station. Come out of the back of the station (the platform side the train pulls in at) and turn right. At the end of the road turn left and just follow that road all the way to the end. You will see the ground on your right.
If you cross over the platform and exit the main entrance turn left, cross the level crossing past the railway pub and again follow that road all the way and the ground is on your right.

Pubs – “Witherspoons” in the town, plus “White Hart” opposiste, “Brewery Shades” just next to that. “The railway” is cheap just by the level crossing. “The Half Moon” is the nearest to the ground

Taxi – about £4.00 from the town centre. The taxi firm that serves the station may be a bit more expensive.

I'm sure you see the good in Crawley, gr1 - and I'm sure it must have its good points - but the few months I once spent working there left me so mentally scarred that I'd sooner eat glass than return to that town.

I dunno much about them. I did read an article some months ago that suggested they were a very physical team and all their players were 6 foot+ bruisers. So, ever since game was announced I've had this nagging feeling that we'll come away nursing some knocks, bruises or worse.

It was just a really bad job at the end of an insanely long (and expensive) daily commute for me. Added to that, I didn't find anything pleasing about the town itself. It was a depressing job I had to do between getting made redundant in the teeth of recession and getting a proper job again. Dismal days.
