Glad you're not my business consultant
But you would be happy if we paid £2m+ for an unproven Routledge then?

I think he's a better player thats it.

End of the day if you asked me who would I prefer out of:

Option 1 - Danny Graham (£3.5m), Leroy Lita (1.75m) and Wayne Routledge (£2m) totaling £7.25 million
      OR
Option 2 - Jay Bothroyd (£SWEET FA), DJ Campbell (£1.3m) and Jason Puncheon (£500k) totalling £1.8 million

I know we haven't spent much but you can't say the players we've brought in are aren't better quality than what Swansea have. We need a couple of defenders IMO.

Personally wasn't convinced by Graham but would have preferred him to Campbell. With a little loosening of the purse strings, players in the vein of Shane Long, Ebanks-Blake and Cameron Jerome should have been attainable.
I'd definitely have Campbell over Graham.
Long I like but expensive and not a great track record in the top league.
Ebanks-Blake hasnt made the step up.
Jerome is just average at best I think and wouldnt be worth the millions he'd cost.

Its always going to be difficult mixing it with the big boys with just a few pennies to play with but we'll be alright with Bothroyd, Campbell and Helguson.

          Sweet FA?

All that happens with these transfers is that the player retains a whacking great signing on fee instead of it going to a club. The outlay is near enough identical.

Get a grip people. It is DJ Campbell not David Villa or Wayne Rooney.

Am 100% with Nodge. Its good we have him given our other options up front. He will improve ( hopefully ) our attack.

But he was pony before last season. And many players can have one good season. He played in a Blackpool team who created countless chances because they just all out attacked. Mark my words we will not create half as many chances as Blackpool did. QPR always lack creativity ( take out Adel ) which is why i find it even more baffling people would not want Joe Cole!

He is a good signing given the circumstances. SImple as that.

ALthough i agree, yes he would have had a nice wedge of a signign on fee, I personally cant see it rivalling a transfer fee for a PL striker? Surely wouldnt be anymore than half a mill?

Who has said that? 99% of people have said we would love JOe Cole, but realitically its not guna happen... he earns 90k a week. Even half of that is out of our wage bracket.

Why would we take out Adel? Has he left?

Nope it just helps the negative arguement some people like to put across.

                      Seems that way!

Nice to see a fellow Staines R by the way, I grew up there (Magna Carta school ) and go out drinking in the town still.

I wouldn't shout about drinking in Staines. Horrible place at night.

Much better in windsor for a night out these days wicksta. Also all club are closed now in staines due to trouble
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Yeah I prefer Windsor, and it's in the middle of here and all my mates in Staines. There was always trouble in Staines clubs though Oasis/Exchange/Cheekies and Grand Cafe (called something else and closed now) up near KFC!

We drink in the Slug and Lettuce (was Ha ha) now where the cinema used to be, not seen any problems there. ;)
