Whatever peoples opinions are of DJ and Bothroyd, and however much of a shame it is that Warnock is being given scraps to spend on players...
To get Jay Bothroyd and DJ Campbell for a combined price of £1.25m is outstanding work by the manager.

Especially when you consider that Norwich bought James Vaughan for exactly double that.
"Trust In Warnock" - Don't just type it - Do It.

Personally wasn't convinced by Graham but would have preferred him to Campbell. With a little loosening of the purse strings, players in the vein of Shane Long, Ebanks-Blake and Cameron Jerome should have been attainable.
      Cameron Jerome... He's pony Nodge...
You telling me he would be a better bet than campbell??

without checking I would hedge that he has never even got into double figures apart from his cardiff days.

Credit me with a bit of sense.

Campbell (and Puncheon) are puffed up League 1 players who "may" get away with being able to do a job in the PL short term. I suspect though over the course of a season and a half, they can't sustain it. This is why no other PL clubs tried to buy them.

Apology if my opinion on what constitutes a decent player differs from yours.
Whats your point then?! what players do you want here if you've laughed off the crouch rumours, and now moaning at DJ?

So (even at half of the £8M) Shane Long has never scored goals in the EPL - how does that make his £4M a better bet than £1.25M for DJC who has scored goals, even if it is/was as a one hit wonder?

Plus - I did say "if the purse strings were loosened a little".
The Hammers, who were relegated from the top-flight last season, had a £6million bid for Long rejected by the Royals last week but the Londoners have yet to come back with an improved offer.

Also Puncheon is £1m cheaper than Routs and have proved himself, thats a great deal for Qpr too if it goes through.
We have a serious businessman knocking on our door to invest in our club, we're almost rid of T&C.
We're in the Premiership and have nothing to loose.

To sum up: As I see it, it's happy days for a QPR fan.
              Where did Puncheon prove himself?

              Barnet? No
              Southampton? No
              11 games at Blackpool? No

              Lewes or Fisher Athletic? Maybe?

                They didn't.

Simple. Think of it as similar to the £15m bid from PSG for Adel reported in the same rag that we "knocked back"

                      Its simple really..

£1.25 million on DJ is better than £3.5 million on Steve Morrison.

You forget he did well at Millwall last season.
                          5 goals in 7 games.

Then went off to Blackpool, did well there too.

Short periods, yes. But I think you're being more than a bit harsh on him.
Holloway, Jacket, Warnock and Allardyce all rate him enough.
                          Oddly enough though, Saints don't.

Read the thread mate. I've said that with NW not seeing any of the PL money or ticket revenue options were limited. Not moaning at DJ but remarking on that we shouldn't be so easily pleased.

This is very true. I'd be apopletic spending that much money on Morison
