You should just slit your wrists and be done with it.
DJ was joint second top scoring English player last season in the Premiership. We have signed him, we are now a premiership team. Sounds alright to me.

DJ campbell is a Striker with premier league experience..he scored 13 goals (top English goalscorer) in a side that was relegated whats not to like!!
as for picking where he plays i am amazed that so many of you have been given warnocks teamsheet , i normally have to wait til i get to the bar in SA rd (which of course i won't be able to this season!)

There was a wide range of hopes/expectations among QPR fans after promotion. Not at all the same level.
Those who hoped for/expected £10-12m worth of signings, and possibly the likes of Robbie Keane are left very disappointed.
Those who expected sod all from Briatore (like me) are just happy and a bit relieved to see a decent player like Bothroyd or DJ join. I've just accepted that Briatore and Bernie are not going to push themselves or take risks on player signings. Shame, but totally expected from many.
If I'm honest, I think with the financial scraps that Warnock has been thrown to him this summer, he's done bloody well to get what he has, so far.
I just console myself with the fact that he is our manager."Trust In Warnock" - Don't just type it - Do It.

Originally posted by paulmason View PostSeeing as you ask, I would have signed Danny Graham and /or CMS ahead of Bothroyd and DJ (happy we have them though as they are better the HH and Hulse), but the question for me is, is DJ being signed to play wide or up front on the shoulder of the last defender. I only ask as Jamie Cureton scored goals everywhere (apart from his loan spell in Korea? before he came to us) until Holloway played him out wide and what a flop that was.
I am sure he will do well, but out wide is not his best position, but he could be a fox in the box, with the amount of chances we create, but dont finish because no one is there to tap the ball in.
Some people are beyond belief !!!
So you would rather pay £ 3.5 m for an UNPROVEN ( in the prem)championship striker and UNPROVEN (in the prem) League One player ...........rather than .....
The second highest scoring Englishman in the Prem last year and a current England centre forward ....for which we got both for a cost of £ 1.25 m !!!!
By the way Cureton no longer plays for us and Holloway is no longer the manager, so that should put those fears to bed !!!
In Warnock we trust !!!

When our fellow promotee's, Norwich and Swansea (not to mention Leicester and Brighton) are spending cash (on players WE wanted), Stainrod is right to highlight that we are being conditioned and have become easily pleased. We're not talking about the pie in the sky stuff for Keane etc., but the likes of Danny Graham, CMS, Routledge, not to mention a loan fee for Kyle Naughton; only average players, not world class superstars.
With the PL windfall and the third highest pricing in the PL, please excuse those who don't do sex wee's over a couple of players on free's and contractually capped transfer fees who have had half a decent season.

agree mate he has done well with what he's been given..
but its still a ****ing disgrace thats all he has been givenand instead of feeling relief that we have finally been allowed to spend a million (whoopee****ingdoo) we should be feeling anger that these ***** have been taking the **** out of us for months (ever since that fat orange **** reappeared as it happens) ill be waiting by the front doors nice and early first game of the season to give some abuse to the 3 twunts as they get out of their flash motors
