Perhaps he is, and Mittal will buy some of his shaes and they will own 50/50, or 33% each if there is another buyer.

Aren't we all getting a bit ahead of ourselves here!? First off it's not confirmed as truth and secondly we don't know his true wealth let alone what his plans may be!

I hope your right and its not true, I'd rather Vijay anyday and don't want to support Team Lotus.

He's nicked most of Force India's staff!!!!!

Yeh he will be trying to bring every Indian player in like Flab has tried to do with the Italians!!

He has already failed to buy Norwich and West Ham!

MYU - What makes you think Vijay is (still) keen ?

If Tony Fernades is confirmed and succesful, how long before we have a 'racing green' kit ?

                What chance a Fernandes/Mallya/Mittal dream team ?

Is the Russki out of the picture now ? (Assuming he was ever in the picture)

Fernandes is only (yeah I know, only!) worth £300m. Not that much in footballing terms if he wants to fund a Premier League club.

Compare that to Mittals 15 or so billions...

The mail has a very poor hit rate with us of late - I reckon it's poor journo work 1 plus 1 going overboard

All I'll say is that I cannot see this being sold to anyone who's not a billionaire. They will surely want to have the funds to at least look close to that of the Mittal's.
                      Your mum would love me...

MYU and his Vijay fascination again.

The bloke would be a disaster for us and was about as serious as buying us as i am. We would be a bigger plaything to him than Flavio blooming well is!

Check out Newsnow ...report buy the daily mail claiming this fella is trying to buy us and has been shown round LR and discusssed budgets with NW !!

                          AND ... He's a West Ham Fan !!!!
Maddox, I don't mean this in a patronising way so please don't take it as that, but can you not do links because of the computer/phone you are using or because you don't know how to? Because if it's the latter, it is very easy to do and happy to write some instructions.

Back to the fernandez story, I would be concerned that another f1 mogul was coming in as he will have links with FB and BE and that can never be a good thing, if he wants to buy a club why doesn't he make an offer for West Ham?

If true,it doesn't sound like he has the wealth to pay cash. Smells like a leveraged buyout, which will probably be converted into debt on our balance sheet. Worries...

He made a bid for shares in West Ham in May but had them rejected by Gold & Sullivan.
