I think there is a bit more to this than first meets the eye.
I think this Fernandes geezer is T&C's 'stalking horse' to try and raise the stakes for the russian steel guy, who in turn used Mittal as bait.

        Let me explain.
T&C want to sell, the russian wants to buy.
Russki tells his pal Mittal to put in a bid to see if he can get an asking price out of T&C, he then raises this inital bid, again trying to draw a figure. T&C spot this ruse and now put forward their own guy, who they say is prepared to pay the full asking price of £100m for T&C's shares (not the whole club for £100m as others have said) This is to try and force the Russkis hand when he thinks the deal is going to be snatched away.

Expect the whole thing to take another couple of months and the Russki to buy T&C's shares for around £85m.

All would make sense, but is there any back up to this or just what you think? Not having a dig by the way, just wondering whether you know something I dont with regards the subject?

According to the standard minority stake and chairmen, looks like the Mittals have maybe sold

Who? Fernandez? If so lets hope the money for his stake is put into the club rather than Bernie's back pocket.

Do we presume he's been asked to throw some money into the transfer pot?

Im presuming its just poor editing by somebody on Vijay Mallya's Wiki page when it says

"He also was part of the consortium that acquired Queens Park Rangers FC; the consortium also included Bernie Ecclestone, Flavio Briatore and Lakshmi Mittal" ?

I didn think he was ever involved, just rumoured to be?

                        He's probably bought Gianni's shares.

This Fernadez just sounds like another corrupt spiv ****

Probably in the Paladini mould his involvement sounds like nothing more than an opportunity to lord it in the PL, meet greet, network and strike a few deals. What exactly would this fella bring to the table, he knows **** all about being a chairman of a football club.

Even Norwich fans can see through this
