Matty - agree with every word of that.

QPR - I'm liking that formation, certainly for home games. Dyer started as a right back so don't see why he can't sit a bit deeper. Plus it would help Orr, who lets face it is pants going forward.

Tbh i think Neil has the know how to pull it off, I am pretty optimistic going forward for this year, only worry for me is defensively: can see Hill getting caught alot and also worry Derry may be slightly out of his depth. A signing each for these 2 positions and I''ll be alot mroe comfortable we'll be able to put up a good fight!
The best player we have by far for keeping possession is Derry, he plays a simple game and it works well (the worst is Tarbs unfortunately), but agree defensively he might not be sharp enough and will pick up lots of yellows and a few reds.
Hill does lack pace but makes up for it with how he reads the game, clever player who imo improved last year, and could continue to do so.

Hope youre right mate, totally agree with your points in that Derry was outstanding last year, as was Hill. Both saved us on numerous times and, as you say, Derrys break up of play and short passes to keep posession were brilliant. I think both deserve a shot after their contribution last year, but just have slight doubts as to whether they might get caught out as a team is only as strong as their weakest link after all.

Fingers crossed though they'll step upto the plate! Theyre the sort of lads a team (especially 1 likely to fight relegation) needs around and in the dressing room, fighters that will never give up and will give their all (especially when the likes of Tarbs will probably not even get a grass stain on his shorts all year!)
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I agree that Dyer started as a right back and can certainly play on the right to provide some support for Orr.

I am also concerned at the lack of pace in the QPR defence. But It doesn't look as if QPR will be addressing this anytime soon.
