Lessons learnt??? FFS We took Ledesma on loan and it didn't fully work out. We sent him back. Where is the mistake. The problem would have been if we had signed him and then didn't want him.

I see no issue with loans as long as we can send them back and not play them if Jim chooses.

Another moaning thread for no reason from the usual culprits.

good point RL. If they arent good enough, at least we can send them back. I think the biggest mistake however if if we have over 3 loan players playing at once. Would be nice to havea bit more stability

The mistake was that there is no point in bringing in KIDS on loan when we needed more experience than them. Parejo may have worked out because he is that much better than the other two, so you may have a point with him. However, the less said about SDC the better.

Bear in mind that Parejo was in place of Watson and Di Carmine instead of Morrison; two were gambles whereas you knew what you'd get with the other two.

And you still have to pay the wages of a loanee, so they're hardly freebies...

Not so much a moan as observation!;)

It's not a total moaning thread I try and stay quite positive.

The fact is that we are signing another player from overseas with zero championship experience.

Both Ledesma, Parejo and Di Carmine all flopped badly and must of cost us a fortune in wages.

Theres no such thing as free in this day and age.

The board have stated that mistakes were made last season and they have learnt from them......then in the same breath we are now being linked with a lad that plays in the second tear of Argentinan football.

Loans from this country I'm fine with, overseas players like Buzz and Gorks no problem.

But please spare me that this is no risk and will be a great piece of business, I hope I'm wrong but have seen it backfire way to often.

Wasnt Nicky Ward Australia's answer to Pele.

          Please get real gents.

As our squad is lacking real depth in quality players, I think it would be stupid to bring in an unproven Argie youngster who god knows if he will adapt to championship football. As has been said about learning from mistakes on the loanees we had here last season not one did us justice apart from Lopez ish, some of the others an odd good game here or their, others a waste of time and money.
Gerry Francis the greatest all round player to come from these shores:super_man:

yep lets get established players like One Size and pay them large wedges to do naff all.......i think taking a risk on youngsters whether english or foreign shows the board or management are not set in their ways and try to find the rising stars.

also loans means they can go back...not like One Size just keep collecting his wedge...so then who is the waste of money.

The argie has been scouted and watched by Gorman apparently, so he must have some solid reasons for wanting him here, unlike Parejo who in effect came here as a favor between Real chairman and Flav. Think that could be the difference between the two scenarios, and why the guy might be a success.

This is a Magilton/Gorman signing so you can't lie the blame with Gianni and Flavio etc. the players they brought in last year didn't work out but they have obviously let JM and JG have a say in who comes in and this is their choice so lets wait and see!
