Im not convinced either, however it sounds like he was a target before he came to us - so i think they must recognise some kind of quality. I think one player like this is fine, but the problem occurs when u have 2 - 4 of them all in one team
A year long loan or a 4yr deal like Agyemang?
Surely the loan deal is a better option, hes crap we cut the deal short.Agyemangs crap but we got another 3yrs of watching him run round like a headless chicken as nobody else will match his wages.
Of course I'm not saying all foreign players are poor but our track record recently has been dire.
Bringing in loan signings with a view to a permananet move is a weird one, if the player was that good why is the club allowing him to go out on loan in the first place?
Gorks and Buzz are fantastic examples of players that have played at Championship level are top notch then we go in a sign them for relative peanuts.
I'd rather we looked at those sorts of players than raiding the lower leagues in South America on players that struggle to settle and adapt to English life and Championship football.
They are a huge gamble and based on last season one that I dont want us to repeat.
The problem last year was not in midfield it was the 23 games we did not score that should be the number 1 priority right now.
It does have benefits to having a player on loan, however im sometimes worried that players dont put in as much effort as if they were a permanent QPR player. If you know you are a permanent player and havea future there, you put in that extra percent to do well. Not saying he wont try hard, but i think that can happen in some cases
Settling down is my big worry and the other players around him. These players were pretty good if you look at their background, but had a feeling they were a little bit outcast. (thats only a feeling), the team needs to be one happy group and not splintered.
He looks a bit better than Ledesma and more mature, so I hope he does well

The other side of that argument is that they try harder to so as to win a full time contract. Imagine if we do win promotion with this new lad pulling the strings (long shot i know ) the kind of deal he would get with us in the prem should be motive enough to play well

Its the lack of Lessons Learnt that frightens me. We have been told that the board know they made mistakes and that they will learn from them. Fine, but don't say that and then do exactly the same thing you did last season.
The ONLY saving grace here is that it may not be the board's influence here; this may be the work of J&J. If that is the case, then they may be leaving football matters to football people - hooray, I take it all back, they have learned...
Now, for those two full backs and a striker, maybe they won't c ome from Flab's contacts in European football this time????
