I thought jP did really well for blackpool last season, can control the ball well and got a bit of pace. Plus olly knows a decent player, when he sees one. Yes routs is a good winger but puncheon and dj are too good to miss.

Blackpool played 433 last season so puncheon could play more central. Harsh judging wayne on his newcastle carrer. He was in and out of the team, mainly out because of barton. Wayne is about pace and sharpness and u don't get that from ocassional start. I also think warnock has improved wayne final ball which was far superior last season. I don't think he gets the credit he deserves and let's face in with regards 2 quality he was a huge improvement on mackie so let's not kid ourselves if we miss out on signing him
I wasnt talking only about waynes Newcastle stint. He has played 78 premier league games, puncheon has played 11. My point was puncheon has had a better success rate in front of goal than Wayne in the prem. You say its harsh judging Wayne on his Toon career because he was in and out of the team, but surely if he was good enough he would have been a first team regular? I say its harsh judging puncheon when you know hardly anything about him. You see he has only played 11 games and automatically assume he's crap. His first premier league goal came on his debut against chelsea. Pretty good for his first ever game in the prem. I'm not trying to say Wayne is crap, we saw last year he is a good player, but he has never been able to cut it in the top league. Puncheon is younger and has shown already he knows how to score in the prem. There's no reason why he can't do it again.
