Don't think Walker was ever realistic mate. In an ideal world the board would now go out and get Clyne or Gunter but I'm not holding my breath. I quite like Braders but he doesn't offer enough going forward for the Prem. I wonder with all these centre backs whether Connolly might be moved to right back?

correct me if im wrong but didnt mackie play right back once last season.remember him playing very well in that position.rowlands as well, when called on, held that position well.

Good shout Van, Mackie might be good there. Rowlands seems to have no future, though wouldn't mind him there. Dyer also started his career at right back, didn't he? Any of those would be able to pile forward to help the midfield which is going to be over-run at times this year so vital imho.

Mackie was superb against Reading at home when we went down to 10 men at RB
He certainly has the pace and energy to be a Prem right back, but strikers can't tackle. Yes, the boy done good in his game there, but I fear he'll give away too many free-kicks if played there too often.

I know were ur coming from Benny but Mackie made 3 or 4 excellent tackles in that 2nd half around our 18 yard line.i think he could do a very good there as he has a great engine,my only worry would be he would get caught out by going forward too much

Agreed, but he'll be facing far more tricky wingers now.
Mackie ain't a right back, he was good against reading but that was 1 game. Orr won't be good enough IMO. Like sum1 else said doesn't offer enough going forward
Didn't Mackie break his leg trying to make a tackle in a right back position?
I agree, he has the energy and pace to play there, but as BennyBoyRs said forwards can't tackle and he would be caught out time and again in that position.
Rowlands can play there, but is clearly not wanted by Warnock.
Dyer can play there, and I think that might be where he will be used if Taarabt plays down the middle and if DJ Campbell joins QPR.
