  • Routledge rejects Swansea

    According to this....

Come on Neil, get in there!

Would be a total dream if we signed Routledge.

Taarabt, Routledge, Bothroyd, Campbell & Faurlin in the same team is great
( I didn't say Dyer as Warnock said it was either or with them two )
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I think 'total dream' is an apt description !

Not only did Swansea offer Newcastle £1.7 million, the deal seems to have fallen through because they couldn't match his wage demands.

Hmmm...can't see him signing for us then ! :((

Routledge did fab for us last season, formation suited Wayne, people say never scored in prem blah blah blah true yes but always played as out out winger, our formation was perfect for him & he was ideal for us, i do think hes a MUST signing.........But if big IF i know he does sign, where will DJ it in as im sure Jay would be lone striker, could DJ play in the wide role?....What a fab decision to have for Warnock..........May get slated here but i do think replacement for Derry too is a must as he may get overrun in the prem...Nigel Reo Coker on a free agreed deal with Bolton for me would have been ideal

Agree wd love routs but fear he is the worst kind of mercenary footballer who wd rather rot in newcastle reserves than rebuild his career with us on realistic money.

Hate to rain on it but can't see this happening. He didn't agree terms with us earlier and too much water under bridge IMHO but would love it nonetheless

I think that's massively harsh. The amount of times Wayne has moved clubs, and stepped down a division shows his desire for 1st team football. He's never looked a player to be content to just pick up a wage.

Some call him a mercinary for moving on. I admire his never give up attitude.
                  Your mum would love me...

Don't write this off, according to David Mac - Swansea can't compete with us on wages, we didn't lose Danny Graham based on wages, in warlocks words he went for the safe option

Wayne likes a signing on fee...generally once a year.

this one will go to wire, newcastle will realise they want rid of him he doesnt get any offers , can see a compromise with him being paid of a compromise fig from newcastle and us paying him slightly more then wed like but less then what hed like once he realises no option. stupid thing from newcastle perspective say hes on 30k theyd be better off paying him the 250k as in 8 weeks they would have paid that in wages and the window has shut
