David McIntyre Blog - You can tell a lot from a statement

The hallmark of a deeply troubled club is the ranting, self-indulgent statement.

Think of a problem club in recent years. It’s likely that those at the helm were prone to issuing these type of statements.

Luton, Wimbledon, Hearts, Liverpool, Darlington, Newcastle– you name it. In football, when the asylum gets taken over it starts issuing statements.

I do think the comment by the club about Warnocks public comments should have been kept in house instead of embarrassing him in public. It serves no purpose.

We are going nowhere fast with these 2 fools at the helm that's for sure.

      We saved the club zzzzzzzzzz

Wish you didn't f*cking bother. I'm pretty sure we would of been ok.

        Yep, we would of been.

Unfortunately though, we would of been in League 1. At best.

I doubt Neil feels the slightest bit embarrassed about that. His image stock is way higher than theirs.

I think that comment was intended purely as damage limitation.

Ofcourse it embarrassed him, that was the whole point of that part of their statement, to show exactly who is incharge. Otherwise why make their discussions with Warnock public ?

It was definitely a back hander to Neil but he knows the score, he forced them into that & rightly so.

He will come out of all this smelling of roses whilst the other 2 will...... Well it doesn't need explaining.

Like I said, it was damage limitation - an attempt to repair their public image.

It may have been their intention to embarrass him, but whether it actually did is another matter.

You seem very certain - have you personally asked Neil if he felt embarrassed by it?

NW is winning this mind game because he has the fans behind him.
                    Long may it continue.
The 'backs to the wall' mentality has always been his 'modus operandi.'
His players, the fans, even Adel-all with a point to prove..
Every goal and victory will stick two fingers up to the 'management'

We are lucky to have Warnock and he is deserving of our total support in the difficult season ahead..
As are all the players, no matter if they are freebies or not top quality, as long as they are putting a shift in and doing their best..
