If they submit a much larger offer no matter how much the greed lights up in Flabbys eyes surely it cannot be accepted after that statement yesterday? surely?

What a catastrophic f*ck up it would be to have a new bid entered now & they accept it after that cringe worthy statement.

Tbh considering their is the best part of 5 weeks left in the transfer market the statement was premature.

          Doubt that would happen.
The only thing more important than money for Bernie and Flavio is ego.
Bernie is notoriously stubborn once he dig his heels in.
And they would lose face if they caved in to PSG now.
I suspect there has been loads of macho posturing already and most of it BS.

Maybe in January but not now.

          hope so anyway.

Clubs do it all the time, saying players are not for sale or leaving. What credibility has Briatore got anyway?

Disagree but the price has gone up as they now need to cover the amount of money they would have to re invest as per the statement, so they must come in with a silly offer for them to sell.

e.g (approx) they would have settiled for 10m with 6 million going to them, so the price to sell now would be 16m, them pocketing thier 5m, giving warnock 5m and Spurs 6m.

I head that Leandro said that Taarabt was irratic and Impulsive or something. I think hes staying.

PSG owners want him and Leo doesn't, basically.

would only assume that a silly money offer would now result in taarabt going to PSG.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                        Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Some serious egg on face if things pan out like only they could do at QPR.

In reality if an 'acceptable' offer came in within the next 5 weeks which I think is very probable considering Taarabt's eagerness to leave how could they expect the fan base to react should they accept it?
