  • QPR - the most expensive away day.....

I emailed Bolton asking about tickets, allocation, pricing and all that to get a jist of what we'd be charging away fans - and to gauge reaction.

Just got a lovely email from them (very good customer service) and here's an extract..

"We haven’t had official information on prices but we are led to believe it will probably be one of the most expensive away games off the season. It’s probably going to be around the £50 mark"

Bless away fans...the school end upper is a complete dive. It's nothing like the loft, with older seats, holes in the roof etc.

Its a rip off for sure..but..im starting to think that we can make Loftus Road a frigging fortress if we can fill it. Premiership teams probably arent used to real old fashioned stadia with decent atmosphere.

Albeit I can see our away days being expensive..if we're charging top dollar then if I was an opposing team I'd charge us top dollar

I can barely find a set off away fans I have sympathy for in the PL!

Opposing teams cant charge us more than they charge home fans for equivilant seating although i wouldnt blame them for trying

school end upper is judged equivilant of upper loft so £50 for Bolton fans, I can only guess that it will be £55 for Fulham and £60 for Chelsea/Arsenal based on the categories.
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

Well we did against Derby and nearly got away with it. I can seriously see us being "hated" by many teams when they clock our pricing.

Another convo is how we've completely priced out our shepherds bush family

From a fan on the England Fans Messgaeboard

          QPR

"Just been chatting to my dad who has just been to the reebok to join Boltons travel club and one of the ticket office workers was telling him the ticket are £55 for away fans for there opening game with Bolton, Think thats a bit over the top if you ask me would understand it if it was Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs but not QPR he was also saying they have have alot of complaints from there home fans about the prices."

As the average gold w/u was supposed to work out at £57, I'm seeing the cats. as £50, £55 (Bolton cat. 2), and £65 for the big games. With a £5 discount for members.

50 quid to watch ramage and ephraim.... About 15 quid is more appropriate.

And why couldn't you just wait until the prices came out ? Our owners are not doing a particularly good job fans wise but I do find it strange why you feel it necessary to email Bolton for info that would be available publicly very soon.
Very very strange indeed................and I agree with Pompey pretty boring too.
