  • This is the situation

Second thread I've started like this in a week....

This article pretty much sums our situation up in a nutshell.

The Premier League is an unforgiving arena for newly promoted clubs, but with the campaign still three weeks away fans should be able to look forward with optimism as well as trepidation.

We all know it yet some are still struggling to accept it! Some really need to start taking their heads out the sand and stop clutching at straws. Discussing takeovers, Crouch. Taarabts fee is not going to do anyone any good.

The miracle next season looks to be surviving in the PL having not spent a penny and I for one think Warnock is capable off it.

The media know the score I would even suggest our plight will once again see us become a team which other clubs supporters like again due to sympathy falling on our fans.

I have long felt the gap between the top of the NPC and the bottom of the PL isn't as great as some make out and if the fans get behind the team we can survive as long as Wanock is here.

I keep asking myself what is Knee Highs motives for not investing in his business.

Does he have any idea how badly Flabby is running his business?? no sponsors revenue, rebelling fanbase, lost revenue over the summer as no new top has been released

What saddens me most is should we get off to a bad start no doubt Warnock will loose his job when there is not an awful lot he could have done as he has not been backed

To use a F1 an allergy were going into the prem racing a Ferrari in a Scoda and expecting to keep up

The article actually makes too little of the club's plight. It makes out we have a nailed-on new centre half in Gabbidon. My understanding is that he has not (yet?) signed, right?

You're nit picking, Gabbidon or some other defensive freebie that no one else wants in the PL, the situation is still the same

I suppose there's a chance we'll sign a centre half with two working legs. Fingers crossed.

thats what i've been thinking all week, warnocks had a crack at it once before and was very unlucky, all this about us getting lower points than derby will not happen under warnock FACT.
P.s thats the greyhound in that picture?

I think in the coming weeks the media will start focusing on our plight more with respected figures within the game speaking out. We are still a few weeks away from the big KO but as it draws ever closer and the predictions for the forthcoming campaign begin expect some pretty scathing articles directed at our owners in the mainstream.

I hope so. It'd be richly deserved. Right, let me get back to painting my giant:

                  BRIATORE
                  ECCLESTONE
                  PALADINI
                  OUT

banner in time for my £60 trip to Loftus Road for the Bolton game.

Bottom line is that there is nothing we can do about it so may as well settle down and try and enjoy the season the best we can as we always do

There mught be some chants against the owners at home games and there will be plenty of talk on the messageboards but we are simply at the whim of the owners and what they decide to do

Mass protests will not happen because the majority of fans dont read these messageboards and the only ones calling for them are fans who never go anyway on a regular basis so its a bit rich wanting others wanting to do the protesting on their behalf

I dont think the owners will be here too much longer so all we can do in the meantime is get 100% behind the team and keep our dismay at the off the field events in the media spotlight

Good article. Warnock writes a column for the Independent and is very in with one or two of the journalists there so you can be sure that would have been written with his approval. It also tells us the name of the Russian potentially buying us - isn't that a new revelation?

I can't argue with that, Paul.

Biggest puzzle to me is why no sponsorship yet?

Not sure what you are worried about. Gabbidon is a Welsh International Centre Half and the last time we had one of them in the squad was Karl...

                            Er.. Okay, point taken.

                              Can you add:

                              Warnock
                              IN

                              to that?
We need to keep saying that so it shows we know it isn't his fault when it all goes #### up on the pitch next season.
