The Baldrick Strategy

Many of you have been insisting that our apparent failure in the transfer market was actually what Baldrick used to call a "cunning plan", a dastardly plot to convince other clubs that we didn't have any money. Then, at some unspecified time, you suggested that we would suddenly swoop in and sign all our transfer requests at a sensible price. Even at the time I found it a laughable argument, based on nothing more than wishful thinking and flying in the face of available evidence.

However, I'm not interested in a witch hunt of naming and shaming individuals. Optimism, even blind optimism, is an important quality in any fan. I simply wonder if there is anyone out there who still thinks bar a takeover there is the remotest possibility of Warnock being able to assemble a team he would actually want to lead in QPR's assault on the Premier League?
