Peterborough United’s director of football Barry Fry has hit out at QPR owners Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone for failing to back manager Neil Warnock in the transfer market. The two clu

Found this when I was looking for the Barry Fry talksport interview, worth a read.

Personally, I think Clint improved last year, he gets better and more confident with age maybe, and I think he's a clever player, reads the game well. He'll always lack a bit of pace, but if he improves again he could do OK in the prem.

I'd add Matt Connolly to this. Remember what Dave Kitson did to him at Pompey away?

I wouldn't worry about Walcott too much yes he'll outpace Clint but then what ? end product poor, couldn't cross his arms. Headless chicken with limited football brain. I hard but fair challenge from our Clint and he's the sort who will have little interest in going back for more.

He played for Stoke until 2007, in 2004/05 he was their POTY, so they have short memories. The problem was clearly injuries and he didn't follow through his 04/05 season as a result. Hill is a player who has improved with age in the opinion of coaches that have followed his career. As for the injury curse, well Warnock was told he was a fool for taking his to Palace because he was a crock and he then played 40+ matches for them in the CCC followed by 40+ for us there last year.
