  • Will things get better? Are we exagerating?

Trust me, I am absoloutely disguted with the way things are going at the moment, and i think the whole situation is being handled terribly by the owners. Fair enough if the owners want to sell up, but surely even a few million is the least Neil Warnock deserves. Things were looking up when Bothroyd signed but the quotes made recently by Warnock about the 1.25 million budget are what has worried me the most, followed by very very average and desperate looking trialists. Even more depressing to hear that Warnock probably wont see any of Taraabts transfer fee for players.

The only positive way I am looking at it is, that Warnock is still around. We all know that Warnock is no mug, and so surely there is some kind of good reason why he is still here. Surely he would have walked by now if things were as bad as we are all making it out to be? Maybe he has hopes that a takeover will happen soon, so worth sticking around? Or maybe there is a bit of budget available when Adel leaves? He didnt say "no money will be available" as far as I remember - more of the lines that he didnt think there would be - which is not good either, but its a glimmer of hope.

I just think that Warnock would have gone by now if things were that bad, and would Bothroyd have really chosen us if the future looked so bleak? Bothroyd must see headlines and papers just like we do, so there must be some positives we dont know about?

Warnock could easily walk into another managerial position, so I dont believe he is just sticking around for the money. Anyway, things cant get much worse, so lets be positive - and just try to look forward. We have waited so long for this moment, and its a shame our owners appear to be making life hard for us - but Warnock seems to be able to perform miracles - and whilst hes around, I believe things may be far from great, but not as bad as we think

For what its worth, Neil seemed genuinely upbeat and positive in the latest interview on Player - not the slightest hint of negativity from him.

No lose situation for Warnock though. Do well, he's a miracle worker whose stock rises even higher, do badly and he was undermined and stock and reputation are not affected

Except he did say he wanted this to be his last job before retiring. He might have to reassess that now.

At the end of the day we must remember we were only champions by one win and a draw. This was all accumalated in the first half of the season. In the second half we were not that good but other teams were worse.Mackie was injured but his goals had dried up (just like Pat).We need to have competition for places,we need alternatives, the current squad does not have this.We need to strenghten and NW needs some sort of backing.
