The bottom 6 this season will be in their own mini-league. As long as we finish in the top half of that table we'll survive which I'm sure most of us would take right now, and then build from there the season after.
Assuming we bring in at least a couple more players before the season start, which seems likely, I think we have at least a fighting chance of achieving safety, plus there's the Warnock factor of course.
The obvious variables in that are Adel's immediate future and Neil lasting the full season, the latter being the most important.
The gap between the premiership bottom 6 and championship top 6 is clearly narrowing, and we were champions.
