newcastle lost 6-1 to orient in friendlies 2 seasons ago, didn't stop them having a good season.

Another way to look at it is, you are a 100 metre sprinter coming back from holiday, would you expect to get under 10 secs in your first race.

        question really is..

if hulse starts a game next year, will you typically all moan or will you support him and the team?

id understand if his attitude is wrong, but fact is its not.. helguson had the same ****.. its amazing what confidence can do for a player..
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
        Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

if we lost 20-0 i would say the whole team played crap, you are just picking out 2.

we missed loads of sitters last season, didn't do us much harm.

Would rather they miss now and not when it matters, perhaps some are just born moaners

And 'fans' hurling abuse at Hulse must have boosted his confidence no end.

Same old story with some of our so called fans. Even a few more johnny come latelys would be preferable.

Agree - pointless taking anger out on extremely poor league one players who through inept management and no fault of their own find themselves still on the books of a club that is supposedly in the Premier League.

Hulse is not a premiership striker and should not be near a premiership starting 11 but there is little point blaming him for not being good enough for the premiership

The blame lies elsewhere if Hulse is in the team come august
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

Pat had some great games last year when he came on as sub. He suits that role.

I hope Hulse proves people wrong like Helgs did last year.
