It wont even be a small biscuit tin... more like a disposable coffee cup filled with pennies.

To those who think that Warnock will somehow survive the season and keep QPR up I say...in your dreams.

Unless T&C change their attitude and provide funds for some big improvements to be made. I think QPR will lose 20 games this season and be luck to win 4. R

This season will make the 1968/69 look like a huge success when QPR finished bottom with a then record low of 18 points having won 4 and drawn 10 out of 42 matches.

Without Taarabt and Routledge and no money for NW,relagation is a certainty

Whenever a board has never backed a manager, either financially or verbally, there is only ever one outcome.

What makes it worse is that after all the dross we've had to put up with, we finally get a manager with a reputation second to none outside the Premiership and we won't back him despite him performing miracles on a budget last term. There is a massive gulf between the Premiership and the Championship and to do it "on the cheap" again is simply not viable as Blackpool (admittedly, through unavoidable lack of funds as opposed to our self-inflicted) found out last year.

Truly shameful that we will be entering the season in the Premiership with a budget of 1.25 million for signings - if Warnock is to be believed? - must be the worst in history coming from one of the supposed "richest clubs". Not sure how people can defend it.

              Agree Russ.

As mentioned previously I'm totally f*cked off with this **** now.

Its clear as day what's going on & anyone who defends it needs their heads testing.

              **** season ahead.

                Mathew,

There is no need to defend a £1.25m budget. The main reason being it clearly isn't true, otherwise we would not have bid double that already on a certain player. The fact that he went elsewhere is neither here nor there surely, that was the choice the player made.

                  Maybe.
Not many will defend the owners, a few, but not too many.
                  I don't. I detest Briatore.

What a lot of people have a problem with, and WILL do is defend the manager and the players from people who hardly ever go, and yet sit on a laptop and critisize from afar. When they have NO IDEA about how it felt to see our team win the Football League last year. Not a clue.
How it felt to sit in the stadium and be happy, after 14 years of rubbish. The majority of fans are happy and proud of our current team, and still respect them for what they did for this club.

Slagging them off and saying they'll get torn apart by the Prem teams, and predicting the lowest points total in PL history shows a massive lack of respect and gratitude for what they, and Neil Warnock did last season.

And yes, those fans (y'know, the laptop ones?) are entitled to post what they like about how daft Warnock must be to sign these donkeys, and how rubbish some players are in their eyes, but the problem is, they're opinions are worth f**k all in comparison to those who go to games weekly, and don't spend half their lives posting opinions on websites.
A minority post on these forums. And a minority of that minority post every single day. The same thing, over and over....

Just spend, spend, spend eh? That's all I read from some on here.
The TOTAL lack of respect and trust for Warnock and his (Champions) players is embarrassing on here at times.
"Trust In Warnock" - Don't just type it - Do It.

I'm really quite looking forward to watching and supporting those players who last season contributed to one of the best seasons Rangers have ever had, particularly in recent times.

The players that won the league and for all but a week or two were on the top of the pile. Higher that is, than those teams that spent absolute fortunes on players over the previous couple of years and failed miserably, proving only in the process that it's not just what you spend on transfers that will determine the level of success of a football team.

The very same players that have actually earned the right to be in the Premier League next season, because they made it possible.

I'm sure that they all know how tough it will be and to a man will do their utmost to do well for the club and it's fans (even the ones that just abuse their colleagues), not to mention with a certain amount of professional pride that also means they all want to be playing week in week out, as unlikely as that may be.

And if they fail to stay up, which I just cannot see happening at all but could be wrong, I will be as proud of them as I was last season. Much prouder than I could ever be watching a bunch of mercanaries, foreign or British, who are only here for the wages and have as much interest in our history and our future as the owners appear to have.

                      Sullivan.

I don't think many are criticising Warnock or the players for their remarkable achievement last year. I actually think most appreciate that and applaud that achievement. And I think it's a bit silly to label all the critics armchair supporters as some of the most vehement of critics are those who witness things at first hand and go to games.

I don't necessarily think that saying player x isn't good enough for the Premiership is a criticism of that player or a slight on his achievement. All things are relative and the truth is we have a lot of player x's who can be easily replaced with a bit of money thrown at it with player y's who are of better quality and better equipped for Premiership football with more experience at that level. Nothing wrong in asking for that if you feel it will help the team you support.

The "In Warnock we trust" mantra only goes so far. If we give him a near zero budget and ask him to compete against similar teams with a 10 million pound budget, that's not the board supporting him but shafting him. Everyone loves Warnock but he's not a bloody miracle worker.
