When you look at who we have occupying the boardroom at Loftus Rd these days, it really depresses me that despite the vast wealth of the directors when accumulated, we still scrape around looking for cheapo's, freebies, has-beens, just like we did in the old days.

No doubt about it, but our "take-over" was the crappest ever, and has been a major disappointment these last three years.
Why, oh, why, couldn't we have had the sort of people that Fulham and Chelshyte got?

Hasn't been a total disappointment mate.

      Amazing season just gone

      Champions

      Adel Taarabt

      Neil Warnock

      Premiership football

To name but a few that wouldn't have been possible if we didn't have these clowns in charge but I agree 100% to hear NW talking about Bosman's & that we won't be spending is absolutely gutting. Flab & the ###### have clearly got us up to milk the cash cow, not push on, no ground talks, no player investment of any note & clearly want to make as much moola as possible before they sell up & walk away.

No wonder Fat basstard is in charge of the Taarabt sale, he knows he's getting a big lump of that cash so wants to get every last penny for his pocket, f*ck QPR.

As I said in another thread I will open a bottle of bubbles when these w@nkers depart.

I share your disappointment with the lack of funds for new players, but I don't think the current owners are very different from other billionaires who invest in football clubs.
They treat every asset -to them that's what we are- in the same dispassionate way. Survival of the asset is paramount and if spending large amounts of loot on players is essential, they will.
But in Neil Warnock they have a man who has demonstrated a Midas touch, who can polish a turd and who has almost made it an art form. In this he has shot himself in the foot. He will make it work or fall on his sword.
I happen to think he will make it work, but he would also like a bigger warchest, as the title calls it.
        .

What's really annoying really is that we have lost Routledge and replaced him with a bloke that's played 15 games in 4 years. Tarrabt will be off soon for 10m plus and we have signed 1 decent forward for nothing.

I'm back to being depressed after a small moment of optimism....

Warnock has the skills to creat a solid unit that will be tough to beat I feel. But, reality is we do need a few new faces otherwise we will stay up by the skin of our teeth or only just go down.

Just remember some of our comical defending last year, Connolly against leceister is one performance that comes to mind. We sneaked that game one nil, in the premiership we'd have played the same and got beat three one. Desperately need 2x centre backs and another forward to have any chance of staying up.

I hear what you're saying, and I know what you mean, but me being a child of the sixties, I will never understand the so-called logic of the post-Thatcher generation.....Thank God.

I'm with you. I kept my optimism as long as adel was here and even if we sold him, could use it to buy 3 players, now we sell adel, spurs get 40%, and Warnock doesn't get a penny, we don't have a war chest, because apparently, we've surrendered before the first shot has been fired. It's like the owners want us to be last so that we get the parachute payment. , I mean if we finished 14th we'd get more money, but it looks as if they don't care if we're 14th or 20th. And with Match day prices through the roof. So you pay to see free crocks and a guy that cost 1.25.

You just never know whats going through Briatore's mind.
i think you will be right, he will push the button as soon as we lose 3 i reckon

                            Warnock's transfer fund fear

                            Apologies if already posted:

Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock has revealed he is unlikely to be allowed more than £1.25 million in transfer funds this summer as he prepares for life in the Premier League.

The R's secured promotion after winning the Championship last season but, despite the club's rich owners, there have been concerns over new signings.

Those concerns were eased this week when England striker Jay Bothroyd and former West Ham midfielder Kieron Dyer joined on free transfers, but Warnock believes DJ Campbell is likely to be the only player he buys.

"They've made it clear to me we've got to try and get value for money, don't spend transfer fees," he told talkSPORT. "They've agreed to pay £1.25 million for Campbell but I can't see any other money changing hands, other than DJ Campbell, if I'm honest.

"I thought I'd have a few million, if I'm honest. I was disappointed but it's not the end of the world. It would have been nice to have money to spend but it's just another one of those things in my managerial career where I have to show what I can do."

He added: "I look at the players I've brought in, Bothroyd and Dyer, and if I can get three or four more players of that quality, I'll be more than happy. I'm not despondent. I'd love money, every manager wants money. But it's not all doom and gloom."

What's the point of selling if you don't try to get value from the sale? Servicing debt does nothing to make the team better, and selling Adel makes it far worse. As for Flavio, I can't say what I really think of him, but there is nobody I hate more in football.

What's so sad is he says he only really expected a few million - he is hardly asking for the world, but even that was too much. The board expect him to perform miracles on virtually nothing, then when we are stuck in the bottom three they will turn round and sack him as if its his fault. Its like a slow motion car crash - we can all see where its going to lead, but we are powerless to stop it.
