  • Correct Info from a Transfer Rumours Site

Sorry if already posted but I spotted this:

    11 Jul 2011 21:44:38
    Not a rumour just facts-
Jay Bothroyd has completed a medical at QPR
Blackpool have agreed terms with QPR for DJ Campbell
Danny Webber has been attending training with QPR this week.
QPR showing interest in a free transfer for West Hams Kieron Dyer.
QPR buyout with the Mittals have gone a step forward with a bid worth £91m for the club.

This was posted four days ago now and Bothroyd and Dyer have turned out to be true and we know about DJ and Webber, so could the Mittals bid be true? If so, Tango and Cash would be silly to not accept.

May even be someone from here who posted all this

I've got to say while the owners are signing Bothroyd, Campbell, Dyer, Naughton etc I don't have a massive problem with them, though the Mittals would bring the ticket prices down and Amits passion is there for all to see.
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

The Mittals went from 33 to 91 million? Sorry if I reserve judgment.
Bothroyd, Campbell and Dyer and Naughton are good enough for me.

For the Mittals to bid £ 91 m (for the remaining 2/3 rds of the club ) that would put a value of £ 137 m on the club !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry but no ...f king way !!!

Mittal may be rich but he's not deluded !!!

          well

well the mittals do give 100 million pound to charity every year so they could easily afford qpr,but it seems as though they are not interested in buying it at the moment,i can only hope as time evolves the mittals will come on board in a big way

How can you be so sure of that?

              If if if
a bid of £91m has been proferred
              1. This presumably would include debts of circa £40m making it £50m
              2. Saying that an offer of £91 for 67% of the shares values the club at £137m is not how it works. There is an opportunity factor involved in any takeover. If I own a tenth of an acre, say, and you need that piece of ground to complete your much larger project, then the price (obviously grossly inflated) that you will have to pay me to let it go could not be applied to the entire.
As has been said before, the value of a vanity project like AnyteamFC to billionaires is what they feel like paying for it, or selling it for. The real commercial world does not apply to egos.

lets be honest, out of all the signings rumoured.. only dj campbell will be a fee. and a minimal one at that. im not saying we should buy 20m players(well actually it would be nice) but we need to sign some other teams better players.. to show intent and add quality to our side.

admitted all players being signed are for the first XI. but id like to think we'd splash the cash on 2 players, actually break our transfer record.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

We chewed this one over yesterday and no one actually managed to explain how or why paying a fee for someone that breaks our transfer record actually makes them a good player/better player than say JB because he was "free".

It was also (easily) established that the JB deal is worth millions due to wages, playing/scoring/staying up type bonuses so that blows the "owners are tight as" arguements to bits.

Please explain how it works because from memory the last time we broke our transfer record, we didn't actually end up with a superstar that made himself into a legend whereas Les, who came from non-league for shirt buttons..............well you know where this is going by now

Yep that's correct - we did all this yesterday so I was trying to just wrap it up without going into too much detail - and still no one poster has explained the logic that ensures we will get the best players available by breaking our transfer record - some mercenaries perhaps or someone grossly over-valued by a greedy chairman. Thing is Stanley I know we are all entitled to our own opinion but sometimes comments need a little bit of support before they become credible and those banging the table because of the tight board and demanding a record fee be paid for someone seem to be applying the "logic" that they are rich and can afford it so why don't they just do it!

True enough - I just get worried because I can't think of another example where a price has been set, people have paid it (albeit under sufferance) and the venue has been busy (and I think we will sell out most games) and when a new owner takes over they cut the price......especially where the market is somewhat small and the revenue will not contribute massively to overall turn over (18k capacity problem).

Perhaps the answer is they would have plans in mind to move to a bigger ground sooner rather than later
