Originally posted by Del View PostYes we all want and probably need new players, especially a striker, but let's face it, if some fringe players got the long term injuries instead of our star players, things might have been a lot different.
Last season the lack of goals scored cost QPR at least 3 wins and 3 draws which would have been a top 6 finish.
If the injured 'star players' make full recoveries and stay fit thoughout, QPR should have a much better season in 2009/10. Even if no full backs or new strikers are signed.
A quick recap on last season.
In early October 2008, QPR were hovering around the top 6, and Buzsaky was playing again. We were all hoping for Vine to return when we discovered his leg hadn't healed properly.
Then Buzsaky injured his knee and Agyemang picked up his injury, Dowie had been sacked and QPR were distined for a mid-table season, unless some serious spending would take place to replace these injured players.
This wasn't really done and Routlege and Helguson were not good enough replacements.
Rowlands injury in January just added to the catalogue of mishaps.
