  • Still not fully convinced with potential Signings...

Over the moon with Bothroyd. Think he's a great player and when you bear in mind Swansea paid 3.5million for graham we have done brilliant for value for money.

Not too keen on Dyer although if he is on Pay as you play then we have nothing to lose I suppose. What worries me is that we're being linked to players like this Brazillian and Itallian. I think we need to take a few less gambles with our transfers and go for a bit more premiership proven quality (I accept this is harder to get though...). Whenever I hear of our interest in a foreigner I can't help but think of people like Alberti, Vaagen Moen (who was meant to be a great player), Di Carmine, Ledesma and Parejo. Lets be honest all came with high hopes but all were flops; only Faurlin has been a success.

In what is a massive challenge for us I just think we'd be stupid to take the risk on unproven players -especially now we've got Dyer who is a risk on his own.

DJ would be a good signing as would Naugton (even if only a loan). Don't think we should go for Bullard and still need someone to replace Routlegde if we're not going to sign him. If Taarabt goes then we are really going to struggle and I would say the squad would be worse than last years.

I do think we need to bring in some proven quality, maybe someone in the ilk of Ricardo Feullur. Obvously this will mean money spent which may be a bit far fetched. I'm just trying to work out how the owners think we should compete even with sides like wolves who have just splashed out 6mill + on Johnson from Birmingham... too many frees. Still, im sure there will be many twists and turns before August so will reserve my opinions till then.

James I have to say that is a brilliant post so well done young man, as I would say your spot on with all the points raised.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
