We shall wait and see. Perhaps more sigings will excite him to stay.

If he stays and does well his value might increase, even if only one season left on his contract.
But even if it doesn’t rise, he could be the difference between finishing in the top 12 (which is worth an extra sum of money as each final position is worth around £800K or maybe more). That would offset any decrease in his sale value.
Another thing to note. 16 years ago, QPR cashed in on Ferdinand in the hope of banking some money and spending the rest on players to improve the squad i.e. Hateley, Zelic, Osborne, Somner??
Ferdinand was a match winner and ‘won’ many games with his goals and assists. He was in effect keeping QPR as a top 8 side.
The season after he was sold, QPR lost 15 games by the odd goal and went down. Had QPR not sold him, he would almost certainly have scored goals in those 15 games that would have turned at least 4 of those losses into wins and draws in about another 4-6 and QPR would have remained a top 8 club.

Something has changed, because NW said he was expecting him back training the week after next and he was at Harlington two days later.
