2006-7: Once again Arsenal had started well and were dominating the visitors at Emirates Stadium. The only problem was the scoreline.

Meanwhile Sheffield United were everything you'd expect them to be - tough and committed. Rob Hulse was their lone striker but his physical presence kept Toure and Johan Djourou employed.

    One up front it is?

He is a local lad, where this assumption comes from that he is a fan I'm not sure though!

spot on, if derry is made to cover too much ground he will be found out. stick him infront of the back 4 and he can do a job. we saw this when we played palace 2 years ago winning 2-0, adel and ali tore derry and danns up

Everyone is saying dj is a fan but is he really? Is it just common knowledge or is there an official quote? It's just of he were a fan surely e would sign straight up seeing as the the club he supports is offering him a deal and they just became a prem club?

As long as he is allowed to play on the shoulder of the last defender and not employed to play with his back to the goal, holding the ball up for others.

Is apparently quick, so could easily do that

Some good points by Weare and Benny.

My view is whatever formation Warno settles on - and it might change from match to match as we respond to superior opposition - we need to have a genuine squad with options. We have to get out of this Championship mentality of thinking "this is our first choice starting 11". Whatever the formation we need more than one clinical striker. Sometimes it might mean someone pretty hot starting from the bench. That's what successful teams do. In short, DJ is a must.

Being a big, strong, quick striker means nothing at W12, we had Ishmael Miller and they played him on the wing and one of the only times he played where he plays best, he scored a massive goal v Leicester, where he showed all his attributes.

Not a sauce as such but Katie Hind from The People recently tweeted...

"DJ Campbell also spotted in a pub in East Acton last night in preparation for meeting today #qpr"

So maybe, just maybe there is more to come today...

Yes but that was only NW bring on extra forwards late in the game to get a result, I wouldn't read too much into that. Surely JB is only going to start up centre.
