  • Expectations for the R's

I think even the most positive fan out there, or maybe I should use the word Blinded would of expected us to of been slightly more active in the transfer market. Yes there is still plenty of time but all the signs are there to say Neil will be left to achieve the impossible on a shoe string budget.

Players that I would of liked to of signed would have cost money but would of also given the club a fighting chance of survival. Most fans that I have spoken to also felt we might of shown more ambition.

There's been plenty of talk about striker which is clear to see we need massive improvement but for me the defence is just as dodgy. Before I realised we wasn't go to spend and loans and freebies were the way forward I felt that signing a player like Roger Johnson would really of shown ambition. Most told me it's crazy when I put his name forward and he would end up at a top 8 club. Well he has just been signed for wolves for 7m. Too much money you say, however Wolves are another club that I put in the relegation fodder that we have to be able to compete with. Stoke have signed Woodgate on a free and think they can get him fit. I wouldn't of minded taking a chance on him. Anyway I see our small relegation rivals signing decents players, so its a very worrying time.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
