It was quite emotional really seeing where our great club had its beginnings

im so happy that you guys went there i remeber when qpr got to the fa cup final in 1982 i knocked on some doors in ilbert street to ask them how many of them knew that the famous qpr started out in that old building.

i couldnt beleive it knowbody seemed to know anything about it and they were all CHELSEA FANS but still now at least we have a plaque put up so all is not lost

Ted, you would have loved it there yesterday. Have a look at my photos from there on another thread. You would have known lots of Rangers faces there.

I thought it was a lovely day as the sun came out around 1pm after the early morning rain. On approaching Ilbert Street i could see a mass of Blue and White flags and loads of Balloons. Some old girl had a QPR flag and "we are Premier League" t-shirt in her front window and Stan went over and gave her a kiss and had a chat with her. He also went in to see the pensioners who use St Jude's Hall these days which was great. The Plaque unveiling took place at 1.30pm which i found quite moving. There were lots laid on for the local community and QPR fans with face painting, bouncy castles and QPR coaches doing Footy sessions inside Queen's Park Gardens which is right next door. I never realised that it was that big inside there!
I even managed to get to see the Championship Trophy and had a chat with Gordon Macey and Dave Robinson who had organised the whole event. They both seemed like top blokes with a great deal of passion for the Super Hoops!
