Akos Buzsaky - He looks in good shape for pre season training and without Taarabt could be given to opportunity to show the sort of form he was showing before his injury. I have a really good feel that this might be his year. Remember how desperate we were for him to sign and be given the No.10 jersey? There was a reason for that!

Alejandro Faurlin - Top notch player and professional personified. You dont hear him going on about how he is the best thing since sliced bread and how he wants to move away. I am tempted to put some money on him playing for the national team this coming year!

Adel Taraabt leaving - Yes, he is a good player..... sometimes....... when he feels like it. He is undoubtely one of the main reasons why we were promoted last year but i dont see how we can accomodate him in the premier league. NW has done a fantastic job wrapping him in cotton wool but lets face it, there can only be so much of his attitude the rest of the team will put up with, especially in the premier leage when we will get punished when he decides to throw his teddies out the pram.

I'll be honest and say that i would be upset to see him move to another prem club.... it would be kind of similar to being dumped by your girlfriend and then for her to start seeing someone in your street, but if he moves to France for 15 mill, thats fine by me.

Neil Warnock - One of the best managers we have had in my life time. Lets not underestimate the miracles he is able to achieve and without having to spend 70% of his time mollycoddling AT he may be able to spend his time developing other team members.

Paddy Kenny - Bloody brilliant! How this guy hasn't been snapped up by a premier league club before is beyond me! Would not swap him for anyone!

The defence - The stats dont lie! We had the best defensive record in the Championship by some way last season. There is some depth here too. Fitz Hall came good and who is to say that Peter Ramage wont do the same? Both have premier league experience!

The Midfield / Attack - We really do have some quality here. I picked out the two above but lets not forget Tommy Smith and Jamie Mackie, both of which i feel could have good seasons next year. I also dont see any reason why HH cant score goals. Again, he has some much needed premier league experience!

I like the rest of you are frustrated at our club and am desperate for them to give us something: A takeover by the Mittals, a signing, a shirt for the new season, our new sponsor, even a new pie being sold in the stands would be better than nothing but lets not forget what we do have!

Onwards and upwards! COME ON YOU RRRRRRRRRR's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was with you up to and including Paddy Kernny ...

            BUT..

The defence for me is a real problem area at the moment .

The gulf in attacking players in the Championship and the Prem is immense .

With the exception of Cardiff there weren't that many good forward lines last year compared to what we will face this year .

As for our great record last year I put this more down to Kenny than the defence .... If the defence were that good then Kenny wouldn't have had to bail us out so many times !!!!

When you look back at the way the likes of Cardiff and Leeds ripped Connelly and Gorkks at their places last year it does worry me. Of our current back 4 the only one I would have is Clint Hill .

Agree Danny. Last night I watched the richest prize on sky sports. It showed the whole season of quite a few teams. The standard wasn't great. The big turning point for me in our season was against cardiff at home. Connolly was shocking and without Walker bailing him out we would of lost. Also that foul on bothroyd was so clumsey and a definate pen. We need some pace at the back just as much as we need a striker.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                Weare ,

I watched the programme as well .

Connelly for me was shocking . Cardiff home and away !!

Defo penalty for Bothroyd and would have been a hand ball if Bellamy hadn't scored at their place .

Also I can remember 4 or 5 instances last year at home where Connelly dithers and lets the ball bounce ....then again ... then again etc instead of just clearing his lines !!

There are some on here who swear he's the best thing since sliced bread but there's no way he'll get away with that kind of play in the Prem

Agree, I think 2 years ago people saw potential due to showing composure however he hasn't improved and I agree, he lets the ball bounce and is very poor in the air. People gave Zesh a hard time for doing the same. He was bullied against King who allbeit was 1 of the better strikers in the lague but scares me to think what will happen when Rooney and Drogba come up against him. Even Kenweyne jones will upset him. Far to lightweight at 11 stones and we should look to get rid of him.

I think as the season went on, a lot of people worked Connolly out. Includingother teams attackers, WATRB's posters and most importantly Niel Warnock.

Problem as stated many times, is 2 years ago he had potential, he hasnt moved on, and if last season was a confidence basher, then next season in the Premiership the poor lad will probably retire!!
