Still at least we will all secretly know what Jay earns per week when we watch him play Man Utd.

I dont even particularly want Bothroyd, dont think a championship player is what we need.
I am simply stating I dont think he will sign now all these details have been made public.
If it makes you happy, you little ray of sunshine, how about i say.. Goodie, best thing that could have happened in our pursuit of this proven premiership striker. Is that better?

mods should delete this post and fans should just stay away. i know this isnt anything to do with QPR leaking but we dont need this sort of publicity.Last edited by QPR1234; 07-07-2011, 03:20 PM.Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"

Can be anything from supplying translation services and dealing with HMRC, DVLA etc (all the usual sh1t you and I have to do in our normal lives), legal representation to arranging cars, holidays, house moves etc etc...The licensed agents exam now with the FA is pretty strict; over 65% of applicants fail the exam each sitting. Can't overstate the legal side of it enough. Once you're in though, it's money for old rope in my personal opinion. If you're lucky enough in looking after a player in demand from a number of clubs, inelastic goods in effect, and you drive the price (and your end) higher and higher. Like a Caxton money printing press. Other end of the scale, League 1&2, agents work their nuts off for limited reward...
Since the Bosman ruling has come in, it's more incumbent on the agent to find the very best deal for his client, so obviously earns a cut. The age old argument is why the club pay the agent directly when it's arguable that it comse out of the players end.

The most worrying aspect of this for me, is that it places what we're prepared to pay a player front and centre.
All sorts of problems. Current players could be banging on GP's door for more cash, potential targets shying away saying "well, I know you were prepared to give Bothroyd xyz, why not me?"
Problems, problems, problems....if true, obviously
