Yes but you can't always get the players you want, the players we have gone after wanted too much money.

Take Bullard, he wanted £35k per week which was more than what we prepared to offer.

2 different leagues 2 completely different realistic achieveable opportunities.

You can be unprepared in NPC and still do well, be unprepared in EPL and you will get relegated.
The playoffs may be a bit of a lottery but not the automatic spots. It's almost become a cliche now that the Championship is the most competitive league in the country. But my point was that dozens of posters were on here last year writing off our chances before we started. It's like we have a kind of default mode of negativity before the season starts. And I'm under no illusions about how tough it will be to survive this year. If we can finish about the bottom three, I think we will have the right to reclaim our 'lost' parade.

        Nah.

Try not to fall into that trap of thinking that a few dozen posters on a website is an accurate snapshot of how an entire fanbase is thinking.
Especially those who just go to the games, and don't really bother with the internet and politics much.

Most will be puzzled, or even concerned about goings on at QPR right now.
But only those who are furious and angry will post regularly online and rant about it almost every day.
I'm not saying they shouldn't, or they're wrong... just that people who are apathetic about this kind of hysteria don't post much.

A vocal minority will always shout louder and longer than the quiet majority. And give the impression that more people are fuming than really are.

        You get extremes in views.
And that is definitely the case on all football messageboards, including this one.

I am not sure if it is the same posters this time round but I have my suspicions. Anyway, this isn't about looking at things in black and white or being suicidal or being a happy chappy. I think we all need a bit of perspective. No one's happy about the ticket price hike, lack of parade, long wait for signings etc. But, if 12 months ago QPR fans were offered the chance to be in the postition we are in now i.e. promoted as champions and about to start in the PL, most of them would have jumped at it. I know I would.
Fair point, but lets be honest we went up last year because of two people. Warnock and Taraabt. Without either we'd still be in Championship

How can any QPR fan feel anything other than total anger about the way the Manager, the team, and the fans have been treated so far. Do I have to list out the 10 or so serious errors this board have made when running this club?

            Parade/Signings/C Club extension/Season ticket prices/Adel/Amit/Kit....shall I go on?

The above have taken place in this pre-season alone.....can list another 10 or more if you want.....

The club has been a shambles since Paladini arrived, guns in the boardroom, china brawl, magilton, hart, harford, Buzacky, Holloway.....

How many things have they done right?

            Appoint Neil Warnock.

My point was that most people are not as angry about all that stuff as you and a few others are on here.
And they don't worry about it as much as a few dozen people on a website seem to.

Why they aren't as bothered is another question.
Maybe they don't spend that much time on the net, reading every little thing, made up or not, and forming opinions about those reports?

It looks to me like some people are furious about stuff that doesn't really bother most others in the fanbase that much. Most folk just roll up at the game on a saturday, and focus then. A minority bother with posting on the net. Or even pay much attention to it. This isn't exclusive to QPR.

Those who are furious about the politics of QPR get even more wound up when the majority just shrug their shoulders and don't share that anger.

You feel how you feel - fine. Not a problem.

The silent majority of fans do NOT go on these websites every day and post their thoughts. For most, it's just about the football and a pint, and a day out with mates, family etc..
              Fact.

also taraabt hasn't left yet, so why should an old pro like Sir Neil get depressed? what is he ? a fifth former? poor Neil? Buy him some flowers then, why don't you..
