  • Arsenal Lead The Race For QPR's Adel Taarabt

Arsenal are thought to be leading the race to sign highly rated Queen's Park Rangers captain Adel Taarabt according to the London Metro.

The 22-year-old Moroccan magician is in high demand following an impressive season in which he was voted PFA Championship Player of the Year after helping the Hoops to the title last year.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to strengthen his Arsenal squad this summer in a bid to mount another Barclays Premier League title challenge next season.

Wenger believes Taarabt could be the man to help his side achieve their goal, and so is looking to strike a deal in the coming weeks.

QPR boss Neil Warnock intimated he is likely to lose his prized asset ahead of the new season, but revealed Arsenal are not the only club in for the starlet.

Surely no sane Premier League manager would actually take him on now?? And I know Arsene is losing the plot a bit but well, I cant see him putting up with Adel??

Arsenal wont match the valuation , if he goes it will be players coming the other way.

              Arsenal?
The team who pass the ball to each other until it begs for mercy.

I can't think of a team with a style less suited to Adel Taarabt.

                  I agree.

Maybe Arsene has realised he needs to change his style & wants an unpredictable player in the ranks who teams will struggle to cope with?

Can see this happening if I'm honest.

I highly doubt he'll go to arsenal as they won't pay the £15m asking price. Flavio will want the highest bid.

Straight swap for Arshavin,Chamakh and Eboue, two of which we have been linked with.

£££s + Eboue i could see, forget Arshavin no way, Chamakh would only be on loan. I really cant see Wenger putting up with him to be honest, but if he did it would help us get loans out of the club. JET, Eastmond to name but two.

I was being faceous about Arshavin (although it looks like he may leave) and I'd forgotten about JET.Was a fan of his until he joined Cardiff I think it was, where he didn't do much at all.
