  • Mitalls vs Oompa Lumpa's

Right, I am another person posting claiming to be ITK, but the last time i posted was around the time of the Faurlin saga, and i was pretty spot-on.

Since the end of the season there has been a custody battle over the club (as we all know). A lot of it is about ego's now.

Bernis/Flav do not want to be at the helm next season and know it is now the best time to sell to get the best return on their investment. They have set their price and are unwilling to move. Mittals do want the club but do not want to meet their expectation. There has been a lot of game playing by both sides (as you would expect with business men of their calibre), Amit walking was the Mittals showing they would not move, Bernie/Flav know the mittals want the club and have used some shocking tactics including blocking transfers, threatenign to sell key players, claiming there are other potential buyers (which my source claims there are not).

The discussions have been further stalled by the F1 season, it is hard for them to meet as all parties are rarely in the same country. Enourmous progress is expected over the next week as all parties are apparently in the country for the next 7 days.

Good post W12.... see, we can agree!

I think it was, but I already knew we had a deal with the FA before the whole case, remember I posted, got slated, then it came out that i was correct.

My point with the OP is that, what he has written, anyone could write.

Mittals bid for club, got knocked back, F&B want top dollar, Mittals wont pay...

It makes perfect sense, but it just makes thing worse IMO. If neither will budge, we're pretty f**ked as things stand.

The Mittal's are just as much to blame in all this. If they really were that bothered, they'd get it over and done with. It's not like they'll miss the money.

I'm still hopeful. Bernie and Flav aren't stupid enough to sabotage their own investment so this lack of transfer activity must be for a good reason.

Agree benny, and I'll probably get called a racist even though all my mates r indian but they are buggers to do business with and will bargain down to the last pound/pence. The only thing they splash the cash is nice cars, holidays and weddings. They won't be easy to deal with for tango and cash.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

It's not racist at all. Far from it, in fact. They are good businessmen, so more of a compliment. They are notoriously tight/canny with their funds, and will always look for the best deals, but when negotiating with the likes of FB and BE, you either give in to their demands, or walk away. They are doing neither, which is not right where our club is concerned.

Agreed. It just means the whole saga drags on and on and we get closer to the start of the new season with arguably a weaker squad. The sooner one party or another backs down the better.
