With all this talk about CMS I decided to have a quick look at his record, and, yes, in League 1 hes done very very well (35 goals last year is a superb tally), but in the 1 year he had in the Championship he scored 10 in 43.... and given that the jump from Championship to PL is vast in comparison to that of League 1 to Championship, should we really be wanting to spend £3million of our presumabley minimal transfer budget on him?
Fair enough he is probably better than what we currently have, but wouldnt we be better off using that £3mill elsewhere; ie ensuring we offer the wages to DJ Campbell to ensure he becomes an R? Just a quick glance at figures shows us that Campbell got 13 PL goals last year; more than Rooney, Drogba, Lampard, Torres and Gerarrd!
