  • If Tarabat did leave.......

I try to be as positive as I can be, but I really can only see one outcome and that would be RELEGATION.

If you took Tarabat out of side we would not have gone up. He scored the goals and created the goals that got us promoted. We would have been a very average side without him in the side.

Now we're in the Prem everything will be so much harder. One of the biggest differences will be scoring goals. Who is going to score them if Tarabat goes? Look at Sunderland last season after they sold Darren Bent.

We're just not going to be able to attract the kind of striker to score a shed load of goals to give us a sniff of keeping us up.

We were very reliant on Tarabat and with a team with people like Derry and Faurlin who barely score and the other forwards not scoring enough, it's going to be tough just getting a draw if we concede a goal.

We're in a no win situation. Sad to say, but this time next year we'll be getting ready for the Championship and we'll be stuck with players who simply are not good enough and those that are decent will be sold and with no investment from our board we'll be stuck back in the Championship and God knows where after.

A real sad time to be a Ranger this summer in what promised so much.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Can't see us scoring more than 20 goals without Taarabt at present

I agree. We have no goals in the side apart from Tarabat. We are so reliant on him to produce that magic in a game.

I have no problem if tarrabt is sold for a good sum aslong as the funds are given to warnock to spend but no doubt the midget will pocket it the tight fisted ****!!

i loved adel in the championship without him there is no way we would have got promoted but i dont think we can afford to play with 10 men in the prem cos when he goes missing he goes rearlly missing and we cant afford that in prem unless sir neil can get him into a team player

                    I agree totally.
When I've said similar (ie: without Taarabt we would not have gone up) some people have said that's nonsense, that if he hadn't have been in the team, perhaps Clarke or Hulse or Agyemang might have had the chance to step up and score those goals instead...

...and I thought, wtf are you on??? The idea that any of those three could have done the goals and assists which AT did is farcical.

Fact is, selling Taarabt would almost rubber stamp our relegation next May -- there is no way we could buy similar with the money we'd get (assuming T & C gave any of it to NW anyway) and those people who go on and on about him being unproven, or not cutting it in the Prem with Spurs -- he has come a long way since his very limited match time for Spurs, and let's give him the chance to prove himself instead of virtually writing him off now.
Personally, I think he'll shine -- if we keep him.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

He came on in leaps and bounds last season, and was far more of a team player at the end of the season than he was at the start.
A steep learning curve which I believe will continue next season, leading to him growing even more as a player.

Is there any more of that rope left ?

If we were able to push Paris St German up a few million and with the money we were able to buy Jeanas, Santos and Naughton it might not be such a disaster. Question is after Spurs take their 60%, would the board take out the other 40% - or reduce Warno's "transfer budget" by the same amount.
