  • Call me stupid but WHY do Flav and Bernie

    own QPR?

From what I have read Bernie has limited interest in football, and supports Chelsea. Whereas Flav had never heard of QPR, in fact thought it was a restaurant.

Now you would never own a football club to make money, it just isn't going to happen, so why on earth are they involved?

I understand that, but they've been involved for about 5 years now and there doesn't seem to be anything going on regarding sale of land etc.

The only thing maybe if they destroy the club support by not signing anyone, raising prices and generally winding everyone up, eventually they can leave the club in massive debts, administration and then sell the ground??

I dont know alot tbh mate but going from what Ive read it seems they were willing to sel to Mittals for £100mill, so going by that looks they theyre looking to just sell up but not only at a nice big ol' profit!

What Chel**** supporter wouldn't want to see us run into the ground & made a laughing stock.
If the shoe was on the other foot & money was no object, I would love to buy Chel**** & ruin them :=B:

True, surroundings pretty sh1te to put it nicely! But the land would still easily sell for a figure that would make them a huge profit, should they want to go down that round.... God forbid.

In 5 years I've yet to hear a believable story as to why they are involved...bit weird don't you think?

You'd be surprised, look at the potential, ignoring the estate (which i know is difficult due to the size of it) but with new posh flats, some redevelopement, posh bars etc and all within reach of Westfield and quick access to Central London and/or Heathrow and you have something quite big. The places would sell easily. White City/Shepherds Bush could rise in stature in the same way as Notting Hill has, (remember what that was like?), now it's one of the poshest and most expensive areas to live in London.

i agree ref not hill used to go holland park school and was always down there, always had big expensive houses, the prob s the size of estate around there , mate the people who buy these posh flats for it to be worthwhile would take a quick look at the boys and girls hanging around the estate all day and night and think twice, theyd have to have gated entrance in and out with a millwall tunnel to the station. nayway may contradict myself but were in retail and got news the other day that westfield looking to expand the centre create new facilitys more shops etc, everyone reckons may look at bbc site

We'll see what happens come September as they have defaulted on the loan to themselves. I'd be keeping a sharp eye on the BBC land development as there is an obvious property deal here, where we get a new stadium on long lease with annual rent in amongst a hotel casino flats type complex and LR gets converted into Flats
