  • Bothroyd Bid Failed

Fulham is a typically diverse London area with something for everyone - from the hustle and bustle of North End Road Market, to the refined chicness of the iconic Fulham Road. It boasts superb pubs and restaurants, two Premier League football clubs and excellent transport links.

I thought this was signed, sealed and delivered according to Pete.

The facre continues. We might as well not compete next season. We might as well stay in the Championship. Anything we do get will be a panic last minute dross of a buy. Pre season starts next week and we have no one.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Same here mate. I've been optimistic about everything, mainly based upon the fact that i presumed signings would flood in (well at least 3 or so) in first couple days of July as thats when contracts run out and singings would have been all but made until July 1st when they could be announced.

If none are by Monday i think i may find myself starting to drift ever so slightly to the doom mongers corner....

Not a chance. Tbf, i would have loved him down our club as I think he's a great striker and would have done a job for us, but 50k a week? if that's what hes demanding then f*ck him, I cant see any club paying him that amount. Greedy ****! cant have been on more than 20k a week ish at Cardiff can he?

I think (as Ive heard a few others also mention) a cheeky bid for Maynard should be made. This is putely me making guesses, but I reckon if we made a £3.5mill bid for him, they may well reject and try for abit more, but the player himself may start kicking up a stink and requesting a move if he knows he can be playing PL footy. Because, lets face it, Bristol City arent gaining promotion anytime soon are they!

Is this a week or 2 old news though? If you read mcintyre's blog, it would suggest that the wages were the problem before but he went back for discussions.....
