  • Atalanta game again

Does anyone know the area of Milan well?

I have been there before nut not to the Bergamo region and was wondering if the airport at Bergamo is that far from stadium we are playing in and if its worth getting a hotel for the Saturday night in the town or near the airport instead

Would be grateful of any advice

Bergamo Airport to Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia (Stadium QPR are playing in) is 15mins in a cab. So hotel near airport is probably the best bet.

I am thinking of driving from Ashford, Kent using Euro Tunnel or Ferry to Calais and driving down from there with a group of mates should be a good laugh.

Take her shopping in Milan for her Birthday. You get to see QPR in Europe and she will over the moon by your amazing gesture for her birthday. Its WIN WIN

Also, hw far is other Milan airport from Atalanta stadium in Bergamo ?

Luton airport is closer to me than Stanstead, so might be worth wieghing up as an option if cheaper flights.

I came home via Milan after a recent England away game and I can tell you that the Milan Malpensa airport was bloody miles away from the centre and as far as I could tell no train went anywhere near it so we had to get a coach from the Central Station

Isleworth's dedication is fantastic. Very rarely do you hear a moan from him about anything when actually he probably has the right to moan more than most of us as he really does do all he can to watch QPR wherever we are.

It's loyalty like this that makes me proud to be an R as we really do have a great set of fans!

Train from Milano Central Station to Bergamo takes around 1 hour and then there's a walk to the Stadium - tried it a couple of years ago, when I saw Atalanta vs Lecce in a typical italian 0-0 match

I agree. I hope Mrs Isleworth likes footy too?

Get yourself up to the old medieval town in Bergamo -- and take the cable car as it's a dog of a climb!

Some cracking bars up there and a couple of md places to eat but it's a bit of a tourist trap.

I wore my red and white halves QPR retro top and got some very weird looks.
It then tunred out that Atlanta were playing away at a team who wore almost exactly the same kit - lucky I didn't get my head smashed in.

                              Enjoy.

                              FFS it's only June (just)
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.
