I think the point that Paul is making is that they cannot influence things, however hard they may try.
"Toothless", would be a good way of putting it. But saying that doesn't imply any lack of effort on their part, just the reality of the situation. No need for anyone to take things so personally.

indeed, it isnt for lack of trying its the lack of response. But as said before you have a board that dont give a ****, they can try to pretend they do by sending Joe Kyle to liase with the OSC but how much clout does he have? zip, zero, nada, zilch
however the OSC have tried, with best intentions, no one has wanted to join them (prob cos its pointless), lets blame the ones we should be blaming
btw, just renewed, ouch but was in a very long queue on the phone.......of 0

I feel sorry for the people who have wasted their time and put so much wasted effort into the OSC, but its a complete waste of time having this outfit and IMO, only exists as a PR stunt and nothing else.

1) Yes an email would do but if the OSC have been waiting for 4 weeks to get an EGM then how long do you think it will take for the club to respond to them send ing an email out to everyone. Yes someting could go in the qpr e news stuff that randomly appears, how long would that take and how many of us actually read everything thats in it when its just a rehash of the offish?
2) yes they could hold an event to raise money for themselves, rather defeats the purpose doesnt it. Money for Grace etc or for themselves, if the club want to use them as conduit then they should be helping with emails/ letters etc
3) anyone of you could have gone to the AGM and got involved
4) but the real point is despite the OSC's best efforts as a fund raising group, helping at events group, trying to make the club better by discussing exciting things like the toilets, tv's, catering, etc they have been shat on. Lets not get away from the the fact that they have been eaten up and spat out by " the board". I say board . I doubt F and B even know they exist. Maybe they were not as transparent as some would have liked, but the AGM was open to all, committee places were advertised, major arguments were had in meetings and where did it get them.......f***ing nowhere because the board dont give a ****.
2)Are you saying they are not capable of running more than one event? They now represent a premier league club, it’s time to expand!
3)Again lack of communication from the OSC is the reason i didn't go and i'm sure this is the case for many others. I would expect an event like that to be published on all message boards as a sticky as well as on the official website and not just on some random paragraph on a website that nobody really knows exists.
4)They have been eaten up and spat out because they are running their organisation in the wrong way. They are in a position of power, now that the club have chosen them, and the fundamental truth is they don't know how to use it! Nobody is condemning them for their charity work. They are all admirable gestures but that's not the only thing they are there to do!
they need to unite the fans and if they can't do that then it's time for change!

"How many people replied to our request for new OSC Committee members? - NONE"
How many ever even knew of that request? I didn't.

[QUOTE=brightonr;644397]They could of course just all resign, let the media / anyone else who will listen know along with the reasons for it. Then, once the club are forced to listen as they would be when faced with that particular dilemna if it were done properly, they could all stand for re-election again. However, the question that some have asked and doesn't yet appear to have been answered to any degree of satisfaction, is how does one vote? It's all very well Linda saying :

"indeed, it isnt for lack of trying its the lack of response. "
I am sure this is the truth, the problem lies in the fact that because of their dependance on the club the OSC are unable to make their feelings public about the lack of response as their only outlets are controlled by the club.its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks
