  • Interesting for those wanting to buy QPR tickets.....

Can't say it surprises me. The whole thing is shambolic.

Budget airlines, theatres and football clubs risk legal action if they continue to levy inflated charges for paying by credit and debit cards, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) warned yesterday.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

    About time as well mate

I paid the best part of £700 to QPR last week and they still had the bloody cheek to stick a £3.50 booking fee on top

Its not the £3.50 its the principle as I paid by debit card and they got my cash immediatly

Yeah same here 3.50 added even though I paid with my debit card. I don't understand this as previously the card transaction fees were only for credit card payments as I understood shops/retailers pay visa/MasterCard a high service rate so they try to claw it back by charging those paying with credit cards an admin fee.
How is it now a debit card attracts such a fee?
Also the whole point of booking on the net is it saves the club having to pay extra such as staff costs.
I'm going to Ireland soon and if you rent a car via the net it's 150 quid but if you turn up at the airport with no pre booking the fee goes up to 240. This makes sense.
We just keep getting ripped off, sometimes I don't know why I go to work just keep getting shafted.

          Exactly TBlock, I agree.
With most (I'd even go as far to say All) other companies, buying online gives you a discount, and charges are only for credit cards.

Paid by cheque - no booking fee (always have done since they introduced the fee)
