Jimmy plenty of prem experience as it happens.
    Juan Sebastian Veron anybody?

Jimmy and Jay will be 2 crackign signings for a bottom half PL side.

Bullard, Bothroyd and DJ Campbell would all be great for our attacking options. Our midfield is good, but perhaps we need to add one exprienced midfielder. Then we need strengthen our defence by siging at least 3 new imo.

If Bullard does sign, would that signal the end of Adel wearing the hoops, as they are similar players who like to roam and make things happen and IMO will not be able to play in the same team, especially in a fiercely competitive PL.

Unlike IH I don't think NW will risk drawing position with mins to go and lose valuable points. Pool lost 21 points from winning positions last season and finished with a better away record that Liverppol but looking at their squad 12 months ago would you have thought they'd only go down with 20 to go on the final day of the season? Hindsight is wonderful but nobody was saying DJ or Vaughan would succeed in that division.
True, but no doubt the fans of all the other teams predicted to struggle next season will be making similarly optimistic noises before the cold light of walking down the tunnel at Anfield or Arsenal. Have a hunch this season the battle for 17th will be tougher. Last season Blackpool were something of a kamakaze team, West Ham were in total chaos and Brum went into freefall due to injuries/ hangover from their cup triumph.

We must assume we finish about Swansea and Norwich and then hope we do better than one of Wolves, Wigan, Blackburn or some dark horse team that implodes for no apparent reason (Newcastle, say). All are now battle-hardened fighting relegation. Wolves and in particular Blackburn are strengthening significantly. Wigan have one of the best young manager's in the country.

As I say with the possible team outlined above I think we have a sporting chance of staying up but to say we would "definitely" stay up strikes me as putting optimism over experience.

ps: was interested in your stat the other day Sir Pie but forgot to reply re Wolves only gaining about £10m a year on gate receipts - and that with an average gate of 26,000. Shows that even with our ticket prices the gate money doesn't go far.

Could QPR be waiting till 1st July to show off new signings ?
                  Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                  And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Was specifically told that July 1st onwards the announcements would start. Something to do with players contracts being paid up until the end of June

Bullard cant get up and down any more that was evident last season down at LR he played a kind of quarterback role rarely venturing forward. If we keep the 4-2-3-1 he will be one of the 2 if we go 4-3-3 one of the middle three

To be honest, I'd say 100% there will be a whole raft of announcements of signings! I kinda feel better this year as well, I wasnt impressed with half our signings and turned out to be completely wrong about them!!! So, whoever comes in I'll do a "in neil we trust" and give them the benefit of the doubt.

Do worry that neil has said we'd missed out on a few already so the kitty isnt fat but heh, lets see what comes.

As concerned about what happens with Adel if im honest. Kinda torn between him scoring 9/10 goals could keep us up and just getting shot of him and getting a few mill in the bank. No doubt his agent is telling him that he's better than messi at the moment..and adel is believing it

I think the 2 will be Derry/Boyer & Faurlin and it will be Bullard or Tarabt behind Hulse, HH or Hewitt.
