It's now 8 days till the players report back, staff start to earn their corn again and the new Premiership adventure commences.

I have a feeling in my gut (abd city whispers) that something may happen in that window of a week and a day to shape the next 9 months.

I'm actually starting to get a smidge excited by it all and may even renew my ST tomorrow to ramp up the adrenalin.

    It's only June FFS
    Couldnt agree more mate

I know walk but personally i prefer to wait till club says deals are done. Also the same with takeover if there's to be one, (not sure it will happen) as Tango & Cash have got greedy and greatly overvalued the club and wouldn't be sure anyone would want to pay more than 50M let alone the 100M their asking for. especially with our poor support 18.000 max in ground hardly going to make us a force.

Bullard is "free" but his wages are £2m a year. Bothroyd would also without doubt demand a substantial signing on fee.

I'm as frustrated as you are about the board's lack of desire to indulge our hobby but don't pretend that these are not big sums we are talking about for people who haven't become rich by chucking money about. They probably look at people like Vine who fans were no-doubt also shouting about at the time "just give Birmingham the money they want, FFS!" And here we will be four years later paying him £1m a year to rot in the treatment room, money that could have been spent to bring in Routledge for instance. I'm not arguing against signing anyone but I am asking you just to show a little more intelligence about the consequences of this attitude of "FFS just throw some money at the problem".

Take it Betty is Bothroyd ?
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
