    I thought u rated 2 bounce?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

It never takes long for you to try and twist a story. It's not that I don't 'rate' Matt...I just don't think he's as bad as you keep mugging him off to be. My only disappointment with him is that he seems to have lost confidence of late and has taken a back step. Trouble is, now we're in the Prem, that's not gonna get any easier for him. If he regains that composure he had before, he may come good, but that is always going to be a tough task when facing the likes of Rooney, Drogba and RVP. They won't give him a second.

Never been a huge a fan of Gorkss though. Solid in the air and not too bad with his distribution, but I've seen enough to know that he likes to pull wide too often, leaving a gap between himself and the other CB. Both KG and MC were prone to a few mistakes which they got away with, thanks to either poor finishing or the heroics of Kenny. A more clinical striker won't be so wasteful with those chances.

Anyway, not that there was a need to explain myself in such detail. My reasons for feeling Upson is better is a better option is his Prem experience. It's not like he had a decent defence next to him last season either, so it's harsh to lay blame on him for West Ham's relegation, as some have said. I suspect this was just another way for you to have another dig at Connolly. Cunning.

Decent post and very true. No malice in my question at all, I just like 2 test u, which u passed with flying colours. I am not ha9 so I never have any real nasty aggression, I just like to question certain things

I never said there was any malice as such. I just don't see why you feel the need to have a dig at MC all the time. For me, he's really not nearly as bad as you've portrayed him to be. His confidence is just shot currently. I think he has ability, and he organises the defence well. I also think (and I know you don't agree) that Rambo will be a more than useful defender for us this season. The jury is out, and I'm sure there are many waiting to correct me if I'm proven wrong, but he's a good CB in my opinion. At this moment in time, I'd have him over MC and KG as well.

. Sense of deja vu coming along here Benny?

MC has the potential to be a brilliant centre half, he is so composed on the ball. The fact Wenger was reluctant to let him go speaks volumes.

I think if he had a big commanding centre back along side him his confidence would begin to build again and, give it a few months, we would be seeing a whole new player to what we have been recently.

I don't actually have a problem with Peter Ramage. I thought he looked decent when moved to centre back. Clearly not a full back but looks safer in the middle. I guess it all depends how he comes back from what was a bad injury. Signs must be good because we have given him a contract extension.

Connors is a different kettle of fish. I don't want to see my centre back being bullied. Against Marlon King he was shown up in both matches against coventry. King is 1 of the better championship strikers but I'd hate to think what Rooney and Drogba would do against Matt. Also he has a tendancy to let the ball bounce like Zesh Rehman, yes maybe that is a confidence issue but I don't see him gaining anymore confidence against far better strikers.

Oh and to add to that he has a lack of pace and a turning circle of a small truck and hasn't improved in the last 2 years like we all had hoped. So u could say I am not his biggest fan but he scares the life out of me at times. Warnock dropped him at the right time imo and I think we should look to sell him as he isn't good enough.

                      Does it??

He kept Denilson, Bentdner and vela for years hoping they would turn into this superstar young team.

I'm certain he'll be off soon anyway. I think he'll come good, unlike Damo.

Barton to Rs no chance, leave newcastle massive club earning in excess of 40k a week to come to our little club who'll prob pay no mopre than 25k tops think he'd rather go to WHU and play with his mate in the championship on similar wages than come our way. Mind you would be a good buy

On several occassions this week he has been linked with a move - to Barnsley! Rate him or not, surely we all think he is better than a move to Barnsley?

As for Barton - from the horses mouth during a very eloquent interview last week - he is content to see out his Newcastle contract unless they want him sold...............he would only consider a move to play Champions League football - that puts us right out of the equation doesn't it.

Sorry seen mc enough times to come to the conclusion he is not good enough.
Far too many fark up's, he got away with loads last season and still quite a few goals and penaltys we conceded were down to him...........div 1 at best.
                                They seek him here.................
