OSC have always been in existence.

Never really been an issue, shame the club are making it one.

Linda Favell is 'friends' with loads of R's fans on facebook. She seems like a nice reasonable lady - I'm sure she'd be happy to answer people questions/concerns re the OSC's accountability, democracy and transparency...

And rightly so because they are INDEPENDENT. They are not puppets for the club. Pete, fails to understand this!

Pete, it's the OSC's issue they are not being transparent and being forthcoming in how they should represent its electorate.

You really wouldnt have thought this was such a complicated concept to grasp, yet for one person on here it clearly is, and once again he's in a minority of ONE. Funny that.

Where has this myth arisen that people are "slating" the OSC??

I've read through this thread and cannot find any mention or any abuse aimed at OSC members. In fact its the reverse, posters are praising the OSC and the work the individuals do.

All posters have asked for is a bit of information on how the committee was formed, what the electoral procedure was and for a level of transparency from the body that represents them to the club as season ticket holders and members.

Not too much to ask is it?

The OSC is the org that the club have chosen to communicate with. It is only in respect of the price hike debacle that a few of us have asked a few perfectly reasonable questions about their running and comms with the club.

And just for doing that Pete brands us as "obsessives".

You honestly couldnt make it up.

dont think anyone anywhere (well apart from one poster calling for them all to resign in protest on another board) has ever said a bad word against the individuals in the OSC!!!

In the coming days i would expect to hear more and more cry's for them to resign, they may do a good job in raising moneys for charity, but surly there remit is to be there to represent the fans.........clearly they appear to be on a club leash and consequently have little or no teeth and would appear at this stage to be quite useless.
                      They seek him here.................

Good post. As you said, as far as I can tell, noone has a problem with the good work that the OSC have done raising money for charity.

Strange though that a couple of posters seem to have a major problem with questions being asked about the running of the OSC.... Is it because some of the questions were asked on the QPRReport MB (which the same people seem to have a problem with, even though a majority of posters on said board are members of the OSC)? Now if I was the cynical type I would almost be tempted to think that someone at the club had asked some people to back the OSC no matter what.....

I really don't understand the OSC as it now stands.

How is it funded? I guess that all funding is provided by the club. I know that in the constitution it states that if the OSC is ever closed then all monies go straight to the club.

And talking about the constitution that the club so kindly posted on the Offy.

It clearly states that there should be a minimum of 9 adult members on the comittee, looking at the list of comittee members they posted yesterday I can only see 8......

It also states that an AGM has to be held every year during the playing season. Did we have one last season? If so I must have missed it as I saw no mention of it on the OSC forum (though that isn't really surprising as the last post was 7 months ago...)

And finally it states that meetings should be held with other supporters groups every 2 months.... When was the last one I wonder????

It's all a bit strange really. Earlier this month the OSC held a meeting with the club about fans concerns re ST pricing. Now as a member I would have expected to be contacted by the OSC to see my views on the subject before such an important meeting. Or I would have expected that the OSC forum would have been buzzing. Sadly neither happened.

So we sit here waiting for the EGM that we called for in accordance with the OSC constitution to happen, to be honest I am not going to hold my breathe.

As our only link with the club, sadly I feel that the OSC really is not fit for purpose........

If the OSC is the only group the club will have communication with, perhaps those like myself who are questioning the transparancy / not having an option to express my views / wanting to know how committee elected should all register & have this forum post on the OSC message board. Perhaps then the committee members & the club may provide some answers (doubtful) as surely they must moderate the site

Perhaps we should all post our concerns with how the OSC is being treated by the club over on their Forum.
